"These barriers are annoying." Lucas complains while breaking through the protection spells, "oh stop complaining will you?" Athanasia joked, she was still by Lucas's side all those days.

"This is honestly a waste of time, I mean there's not like the fruit bloomed!" Lucas got more frustrated, "chill down, Lucas. The branch is good enough."

"I guess." Lucas wanted to get the branch as soon as possible. He didn't worry that he'll lost contact with athanasia again, as he knows she'll stay by his side even if he can't see her.

Athanasia now noticed, "ah i see!" She started, "you care about ijekiel don't you?" She continued.

"As if I would care about anyone but you." He responded rolling his eyes, "oh come on, if i care about that person you'll obviously will as well" She joked.

Lucas now realize that maybe he does care about ijekiel, he was too embarrassed to admit it to athanasia there, "anywaaays let's focus on the tree"

He tried to switch up the conversation, which made athanasia laugh. "If that's what you want!"

"Ijekiel." Roger stopped ijekiel.

Ijekiel looked at him coldly, "yes, father?" He immediately asked so ijekiel can leave.

"What were you discussing about with Jennette?" Roger tried his best to sound polite to his son who now hates him.

"Nothing important, really." Ijekiel became more aware of his surroundings and the people he once trusted. Ijekiel looked around to see if anyone else was there in the hallway, ".. If you don't need anything else I'll be going to my room." He was about to turn around, when a sudden scream echoed through the hallway.

Ijekiel turned around as Roger slipped aside and ran towards the sound. Ijekiel followed faster in curiosity of what's going on.

He was halfway through the hallway when someone yelled out, "nina? Nina!" They gasped.

Ijekiel turned corners and found his former maid laying unconscious on the floor while another maid were trying to wake her up.

"Alice what happened?" Roger asked, the maid was sobbing there "I d-don't know she opened that!" She pointed at a opened box, with what seems like an emerald attached to it.

Roger turned to ijekiel, "ijekiel go find a-"

"No.." Ijekiel cut Roger off, "it's a curse.." He continued.

"What?"
".. Call the guards, ill handle the box" Ijekiel then grabbed the box as well as the gem, and wrapped it in a napkin just in case.

Roger watched as his son ran through the hallway, wondering what that damn magician did to ijekiel. Further more.. Where is he? At this time that magician would be with ijekiel all the time.

The guards eventually came with the doctor, they took the maid away while the other followed. Roger decided to brush it off and focus on what his son is doing.
