"Wake up, whitey." Lucas tapped ijekiels shoulder, "we're here." He continued.

Ijekiel rubbed his eyes and stretched, the palace was blinding. ".. I'll go out first." Ijekiel offers then opened the door, it was unusual that there's so many guards in front of the palace.

A knight stepped up, "young master, alpheus. Please follow me" The redhead night commanded. Ijekiel decided to follow him, now Lucas was no where to be seen, presumably because of an invisible spell.

Lucas leaned to ijekiel's ear, "I'm gonna go through the sides." Lucas whispered, ijekiel nodded slightly. Then he left ijekiel there at the entrance.

"Ijekiel! You came!" Jennette greeted energetically. Ijekiel just smiled, keeping his manner since there's many other girls from different estate there.
"Wah..! It's a pleasure to be able to see you up close, Lord alpheus!" Someone said. ijekiel recognized her, it was helena from the irain house. "Pleasure to meet you too, lady irain." Ijekiel replied charmingly. Helena blushed, alongside the other girls.

Jennette seemed jealous there, "well." Jennette slipped in the conversation, "let's go to the yard, shall we?" She was clearly irritated.

Ijekiel glanced back, wondering what side of the palace Lucas is in. "Let's get going, Lord alpheus" A male voice said behind ijekiel. "Oh..? Lord irain. My apologies I didn't see you there" Ijekiel apologize.

Lord irain chuckled, "it's perfectly fine, Lord alpheus."
They both followed the girls inside.

"This place smells weird." Lucas complains while walking through the halls, still invisible. He came across the head maid who used to take care of athanasia, lilian york. She was supposed to be in the ruby palace though. Lucas just walked past her, since she's not much of a clue.

Though he had a lot of respect for lily, for taking care of athanasia.

Eventually Lucas reached the biggest door there is, he automatically knew it was jennette's, he entered the room quietly, the place was full of dark magic.

There was no use to purify the room, as the chimera would still enter it after. Lucas looked at the wall to find the fruit basket painting

He Stumbled across a desk, with one of the drawers slightly open. Lucas was curious, he purifies the desk and opened the drawer. On the very end of it a small frame with a fruit basket was laying at the very end. "Bingo." Lucas whispered.

He took the painting then ran out of the room through the balcony.
He landed on the bushes and scratched his knees,

"damn bush, I should've glide dow..-"

"Could it be? Tower magician Lucas?" A knight recognized him there, seems like the invisibility spell worn down.
It was Felix robane, Lucas sighed and stood up, "this is probably a good bye to your memory, Felix"

"Wait!- no I'm at your side, trust me!" Felix begged. Lucas stared at him, "and how would I trust you?" Lucas asked, presumably for information."

Felix handed out a rusty looking scroll to Lucas, "I was going to give this to Lord ijekiel..".

Lucas took the scroll from felix's hand  the obelian's dark magic  was the title, written with an older version of arlantian. Lucas was still skeptical about it, but decided to just bring it with him.

"Weird that a mere guard can hold such dangerous artifact." Lucas glared at Felix, not changing a bit of expression. Lucas turned back back walked away, leaving Felix there.

Felix didn't feel any different, he can just hope the magician can trust him a bit.
But the truth is Lucas secretly put a truth curse on Felix, incase Felix told the emperor anything about him.

"Ehem. Pardon me, princess." Ijekiel stood up, jennette looked confused. "What is it, ijekiel?" She asked.

"It looks like I have to cut the tea party short" Ijekiel smiled politely at everyone, which made the girls blush.

Jennette wants ijekiel to stay, but doesn't want to make a fool of herself. "Then it's perfectly fine! Ya.." She replied.

Everyone else agreed, they all looked curious. But ijekiel just refuses to tell them. He got his stuff and was ready to leave, "wait, ijekiel!" Jennette grabbed ijekiel's wrist, "I wanted to give you this." She then handed out a small box.

Ijekiel was already over it, if she wasn't the emperor's favorite daughter he'd definitely decline.

He took the box and store it in his pocket, "thank you, my lady." He doesn't know what got into him, but he leaned down and kissed Jennettes hand. Jennette looked about as she was gonna scream, and the other girls were red.

Ijekiel noticed what he did, eventually he walked faster towards the exit, "what was I doing..". He can hear the girls whispering things like, "wah.. You're so lucky princess..", " He's such a gentleman!", "this is even better then those drama performances"

He wasn't having any of it. He turned direction to find Lucas.
Though instead he bumped into something, something he couldn't see.

[Time skip]

"You always bump into stuff, whitey." Lucas joked in the carriage, "what are you? The main character of a love story?"

"More like a tragic survival story" Ijekiel joked back. "Hmm speaking of tragic, how was the chimera's magic?" Lucas asked.

Ijekiel thought for a second, "it was a mess." He said, "the dark magic stayed where Jennette touched, depending on her emotion i presume." Ijekiel explained.

Lucas leaned closer towards ijekiel's face, since he was sitting at the other end of the carriage.
Ijekiel was startled and leaned back a bit, blushing since Lucas was oddly close to him.
"Oh, then why didn't you say so!" Lucas joyfully said, then tapped ijekiel's forehead.

"Huh..? I feel lighter." Ijekiel swiped his forehead, wondering what Lucas did. "There was a gunk of unknown mana stuck to you" Lucas backrest again to his seat.

Ijekiel was thinking if he should tell Lucas he kissed jennette's hand. Lucas would probably be pissed off.

But at the same time, he didn't didn't then this whole planning thing would be harder to solve.

"Hey actually, I may or may not have like.. Kissed..? Jennette's hand"

Lucas turned his view to ijekiel in a flash and was ready to stand up, "you wha-"

Thud

The carriage suddenly stopped in front of the alpheus estate, Lucas banged his head on the back side of the carriage, "Lucas!" Ijekiel yelled out, "damn driver.." Lucas said.

Ijekiel opened the door, "mar-!" Ijekiel's words were cut off by Lucas placing a hand over his mouth. "It's fine, whitey. Totally." Lucas then awkwardly stood up .
