Ijekiel's pov**

Now that Lucas is gone, I can't just sit here and do nothing.
Surely i wanna search some clues around, I don't wanna be the damsel in distress that only rely on some random guy saving me.

".. I wonder..." I grabbed the handwritten spell book that Lucas gave me, flipped a few pages until I find 'telepathy', I don't usually admit it but Lucas is amazing at explaining spells.

".. Okay, got it!" After reading the page for about 5 minutes. Don't get me wrong but I already mastered telepathy, at least that's what I thought.. Lucas's method was more simpler and Advanced then what they thought us at school.

"Lucas! Can you hear me?" I finally reached him, and the spell worked perfectly. I didn't get an answer back though, "luucaaaas!"

Then I heard it, "hm?" He said confused, "heh whatever, I'm probably just imagining things." He replied back.

"Well that didn't work.."
I was disappointed there, only because I just wanna ask how it's going.

Knock knock

"Come in."

A maid opened the door lightly, "young master?" She called.  "Do you need anything, alice?" I responded.

"Young master, the princess requested a meeting." The maid said, "she's at the garden waiting for you"

"Ah, tell her I'll be there in 5 minutes." I responded. The maid nodded, "then excuse me" She left.

I sat there not really wanting to see her, "bothersome."
I got up and hid the spell book under my best, then left to see jennette shortly.

3rd person POV**

Ijekiel walked around the indoor garden to find jennette.

Eventually he finds jennette looking around the rose bush, as the sunlight illuminates her beauty, although ijekiel didn't fall for her a bit.

Ijekiel put up a gentle smile while approaching her, to show appropriate manners to his fiance.

Jennette saw him, "ijekiel," She smiled brightly, "have you been well?"

(A/N: this is kinda a rush but I'll try to make jennette less of a brat, since I strongly hate the way I wrote her character in the first few chapters)

"There's been better days, my lady." He replied, "do you have anything to discuss about, my lady?" Ijekiel asked bluntly.

"Ah, nothing in particular!" She responded. "I just thought we'd spend some time together"

"What a waste of time" Ijekiel thought to himself. But he thought it was a perfect time to take advantage of her and inspect her magic as much as he can.

"Then that's fine, my lady" Ijekiel smiled again at her, which made jennette blush. Jennette decided she wanted to have a walk around the estate.

-----------------

30 minutes passed with long conversations of ijekiel just agreeing with anything that girl was talking about.

"Also, I heard you and the Duke had a fight. Is that true?" She asked.

Ijekiel had no idea where she heard that from, "... It was just a small debate, my lady. There's no need to worry" He assured Jennette.

She nodded. "Also," She added "I wanted to give you this!" She handed out a small box to ijekiel.

Even ijekiel was nervous to touch it, obviously because it was from Jennette. But it's the only thing that he get to inspect while Lucas is away.

He took the box and slid it in his pocket, "thank you my lady, I'll be sure to open it once I get back"

Jennette smiled in excitement, "oh, look at the time!" She pointed at the clock, "I better get going.."

Ijekiel wanted her to leave right then and there, "it's perfectly fine if you want to cut the time short, my lady."

"I'm sure there's another million things you should be doing as the heir."

Jennette just nodded, "that's right.."
Without saying anything else she just left ijekiel alone on the yard, with no proper goodbye.

Ijekiel stayed there for a couple of seconds to check if he was alone. Finally he let out a sigh in frustration.
"Finally!" He said while stretching. Surely it wasn't anything exhausting though.

He decided to go inside to inspect the box Jennette gave him.
