Wang Lingjiao move away with a dark face. 'I didn't know they are couple' She said in his mind, annoyed. While Jiang Cheng is internally celebrating his championship of making Wang Lingjiao left them.

Their order was delivered to their table and so they started eating without talking. After eating the pay the bill and left. Those who supported their unidentified relationship was puzzled when they saw Jiang Cheng hit Lan Xichen after they got out from the restaurant.

After entering the car, Jiang Cheng check out his phone and few moments after, he laugh painfully. Lan Xichen worriedly asked him, what's wrong.

"Tomorrow is my parents anniversary and they are inviting me" He show them his phone and laugh again.

"Will you go?" Lan Xichen asked. "I'll go but I won't show up in front of them" Jiang Cheng answered as his voice crack.

"Do you still hate them for what happened last week?"

Jiang Cheng shook his head before looking directly to Lan Xichen. "I don't hate them, I just feel like I want to distance myself from them, from everyone."

Lan Xichen sighed and shows his gentle smile to the younger. He touches his cheeks and slowly lean closer. This is not the right time but he thinks, it is the best way to make Jiang Cheng forgot the problems and just think of what they are doing. Jiang Cheng just let the man own his lips. In their last kiss, Jiang Cheng told himself not to do this and now, he is already letting Lan Xichen to do what he want to him.

'Lan Xichen, how long are we going to stay like this? We both know that we can't let this happen but why, why are we still doing this?Why are we still repeating this?Why am I loving this?' He mind flooded with questions that only them, just them, can answer.

Why it is so hard for them to just live normally without thinking anyone's opinion? Why it is hard for them to be together as a lover and not a partner in the police department? When will they stop torturing them?

The kiss is rough yet they are trying so hard not to turn this into something they know it is impossible to stop. Something they know that might ruined their career. "I love you from the very start until now and until forever" Lan Xichen said between their kiss.

"Lan Xichen, thank you for everything" Jiang Cheng replied as they stop their kiss to breath. It makes them both hard, but what can they do? they know their limits. They are both police officer and a police partner. It is a great shame for them if everyone will know that the two men who was assigned to investigate the Nightless Gang are lovers. That the two men in the same station are having sexual affair.

"That kiss almost got me out of breath" Lan Xichen chuckle as he touches his lips. "Let's go" Jiang Cheng said and so, Lan Xichen nodded.

"Lan Xichen" Jiang Cheng called in the middle of their trip to Yi City. Lan Xichen look at him for a second before turning back his gaze to the road. "What is it?"

"Can we just act like we don't personally know each other, I mean can we stop doing something like that again?" Jiang Cheng asked unsure of wether he should take the question back or know Lan Xichen's answer.

"Are you saying, we will act like a stranger to each other?" Lan Xichen feels like his heart is going to turn into pieces. 'Did I go beyond my limit?' he asked himself painfully and nervously.

"You know that a romantic relationship between partners aren't allowed in our department" Jiang Cheng replied and regret when he saw that Lan Xichen's smile become different than usual. "Why are you doing this to me? How can I keep my promise not to leave you if we will act as a strangers?" Lan Xichen asked and his voice crack

"I don't want you to leave me but let's remember our limits. We aren't lovers nor couple. If we keep doing this, we will both lose each other" Jiang Cheng uttered, he sounds more like he's avoiding to get his voice crack in pain.

Why is he feeling pain? Is it because, he doesn't want to do it or it is because, he's afraid of the outcome?

Lan Xichen gulp as he stop the car. "Let's go to Yi city next time" Lan Xichen then, got out of the car and call a cab. Jiang Cheng feel his cheeks become wet. He go to the driver's seat and punch the handle bar hardly that makes his knuckles bruised. "Fuck you Jiang Cheng, why did you say that to him?!" He scolded himself as he painfully and angrily drive off the car in it's full speed.

Luckily in the way to his home is not a busy road so he can see no traffic enforcers. He arrived at his home for less than 6 minutes because of his driving speed. He enter the house and went to his bathroom. He look at himself to the mirror and without any thought, he punch the mirror, very hard. His hand bleeds because of the glass but he didn't felt any pain as he is mentally broken. He felt more pain in his heart than his wounded hand.

"You crazy bastard, you can just find another job and stop being a police then have him. Why did you ask him that?" he sit on the bathroom floor and put his hands on his head as he cried.

"You really messed it up!!"

We may thought he's crazy but if it is you, can you keep your self calm when you know that you're inlove with someone you shouldn't be? Can you take it saying to them that you want to make him act like you two are strangers? Can you ask them to distance themselves from you, when you yourself doesn't want them to leave you and to ignore you like you are strangers?
