Everything comes full circle

She came back out of the bathroom however this time only in her bra and underwear, I was stunned, no matter how many times I've seen her like this, it never fails to take my breath away.
"About that punishment"
"Mmmhmm and what are you going to do to me? Hurt me?"
"Oh darling you wish you never said that"
she slowly walked over to me and i couldn't help but smile, i sat up so i was on my knees. as she reached the bed she pushed me down so i was on my back, before she crawled on top of me, pulling my legs up so they wrapped tightly around her waist. Without hesitation she kissed me, hard, rough, i was shocked at first but i quickly did the same. i sat up again so i was now straddling her
"i thought you said you were going to punish me?"
she pulled her head back from my neck and stared at me
"darling i just want you"

of course only to ruin the moment there was a knock at my door, i rolled my eyes, i wasn't going to get that, i went back to kissing her before there was another knock
"sweetheart what if that's important"
i sighed before getting up and putting on a robe, cate did the same as she followed me to the door. tightening the robe i opened the door, but i didn't quite catch who it was as they burst in. I was ready for anything so i turned around to see who it was.
" Elijah?"
"y/n" he looked up at me and the only thing i noticed was the bruises on his face, the dark circles under his eyes, the raspy panting as he breathed.
"Elijah what happened? Are you okay?"
i cupped his face in my hands as cate stood beside me, looking almost protective of me.
"i was working when this man showed up, i didn't recognise him at first.... but"
"but what who was it Elijah?"
"it was andrew, andrew upton."
he looked at cate
"you're husband"
i froze, i couldn't move, i couldn't speak, the only thing i could think about was Cate and what she's thinking.
"n..no he wouldn't"
"Cate, he came in drunk, slurring his words, talking about being jealous"
"oh my god, Elijah are you okay? what did he do to you?"
cate walked out of the room
"i asked him if he was ok and then he..".
"hey it's ok you can stay here tonight if you want ok?"
"yes please y/n"

i couldn't believe what was going on. Why would Andrew do this.? he said he was fine with everything. i guess he lied. oh god..... Cate
