-george pov-

i was sat down at the top of my bed. sitting comfortably under the covers. i scrolled endlessly through my phone, as i tried to pass time.

it was around 10pm and i couldn't sleep. i planned on staying on my phone for the rest of the night, hoping i would eventually get tired.

i shut my phone off out of boredom, setting it down on my chest. i sighed as i lifted up the covers from above, then sitting up from the bed.

i decided to head downstairs to make a snack. i opened my bedroom door, then making my way over to the stairs.

i headed into the kitchen where i was met with my brother, carter. "what are you doing down here?" he asked.

"i could ask you the same thing, cant i?"

"i'm going to a party," he spoke. "and you're not going to snitch about it to mom or dad, right?"

i raised an eyebrow. "sneaking out i see?"

"....yeah. you can come if you want," he suggested. "they never find out anyways"

"parties aren't really my thing. you have fun though" i smiled walking back over to the stairs. not bothering to grab a snack anymore.

"do you want to come?" he asked

i froze and turned around, looking back in his direction. "yeah uhh, i don't really like parties. you have fun though"

"come on george, you never have any fun. studying all day isn't fun, is it?"

i guess he was right. studying wasn't fun...at all.
"no i guess not. parties don't sound that fun either to be honest"

"how could you know? you've never even been to a party before"

"true. i just don't think they'll be my thing"

"well. there's only one way to find out, isn't there george?"

"nice try," i paused and laughed. "i'm not going to a party, especially with you"

"you're going to the party"

"i'm not going to the party, carter"

a smile slowly began to spread across his face. "i'll be waiting in the car"

before any words came out of my mouth the front door was already shut.

this gives me no option, now does it.

i guess he was right. how am i supposed to know how much i truly hate parties without even going to one.

even the sound of it didn't sound right. all people ever do is hook up with each other, drink, and smoke. that sounds like people who want to have a fun time. not people like me, who went unwillingly.

i looked down at what i was wearing. black sweatpants with a dark gray t-shirt. i decided to head back upstairs to my room, to grab a sweatshirt from my closet. i then headed back downstairs.

i walked over to the front door opening and closing it lightly, making sure it didn't make any noise.

i took in a deep breathe as i walked over to carter's car. when i got in he looked over at me, a clear smile on his face.

he began backing out of the driveway before speaking up. "look who decided to come"

"i mean you didn't really give me a choice"

"you could've stayed inside. i would've left without you"

"well i'm here now, lets just get this over with"
