Adrien's POV:

Guilt consumed me. I knew it was for the best, but seeing the tears stream down her face added a whole other feeling. It's been nearly a year since my room was this silent, not hearing Plagg rave about Camembert made me feel more lonely. All I could do was look at my ceiling, wishing I could take back tonight's events. A voice in my head continued to tell me, "It's your fault she almost lost her earrings, she's better off without you."

I dug my face into my pillow, letting out the sobs contained in me.

"I'm so sorry, Ladybug."

----*Time skip to the morning.*----

After a sleepless night of tossing and turning, my alarm finally sounded.

6:30am

For once, I wished I didn't go to a public school. I felt emotionally drained, and tired. So very tired. I shoved my blanket off me, sauntering my way to the bathroom. The bags under my puffy eyes were very visible, but I honestly couldn't care less. I just hoped Ladybug was doing better than I was.

Marinette's POV:

"Marinette! You're going to be late!" Tikki yelled at me.
"Ugh, I just got to sleep, too." I didn't want to get up, all I wanted was to hide in my room all day, who knew your friends could break your heart. Feeling a tug on my shirt, I peaked up to see Tikki gently pulling my shirt. Groaning, I got up and ventured to my bathroom. My reflection stared back at me, the blackness under my eyes stood against my bluebell irises. Deciding to take a shower, I let the warm temperature soothe me, finding comfort in the radiating warmth. I can say I did feel better after that. Today would be a long day, I already wanted it to be over, but I know going to school is a must, especially if Plagg was going to try to talk some sense into Chat.

"Marinette? Sweetie? Are you awake?" My Mothers voice carried through the walls, peeking around the corner to see her head poking up from my trapdoor.

"Yes, I'm awake." She frowned at me.

"Marinette? Are you okay?" I bit my tongue at her question, I couldn't tell her the truth without the risk of revealing my identity.

"I'm fine, just got a bad nights' sleep is all." Is all I could manage to say.

It was obvious the smile my mother gave me was forced.

"You know you can talk to me. Nevertheless, breakfast is ready." I smiled at her, watching as she disappeared from the door.

Quickly getting dressed in my clothing, prepping my bag for school. I woke Plagg up, earning a groan in return.

"Ugh, five more minutes." I giggled.

"We don't have five more minutes, Plagg." Scooping him up and carefully placing him alongside Tikki in my purse.

"I'll grab some food for you both before I leave." looking down at the two charming creatures.

"Camembert for me please." I remembered how Chat told me about his Kwami's cravings for Camembert, smiling at the memory, but quickly remembering how he wasn't here anymore, bringing me back to reality.

"Camembert it is." I laughed, closing my trap door behind me before eating breakfast.
