(A/N:)
From the previous chapter, originally Rena kept her Miraculous to use it in the future, but as this chapter progressed I realized she didn't have a reason to keep it, so I've rewritten the previous chapter where she is currently NOT holding the Miraculous.)
Marinette's POV:
The anticipation of what was going to happen left me on the edge of my seat, waiting for a jumpscare. Hearing a small chuckle beside me, I turn to see Adrien find amusement in my inner turmoil. Hearing a gunshot project off the speakers caused me to jump in my seat, where one of the characters set off a warning shot. Covering my face with my hands, I felt a hand take my arm away, electricity shooting up through my arm.
"It's okay, Marinette. It's just a movie." Adrien whispered, calming me a little. His hand interlocked with mine and I blushed furiously at his action. I looked back at the screen to see a death unfolding.
"Nope, sorry, bye." Immediately getting up from my seat and leaving the theatre.
"Marinette, are you alright?" A small voice asked from my purse.
"I'm okay, Tikki. Horror movies just aren't my thing."
"Marinette!" A voice called out for me, Tikki immediately hiding her presence.
"Adrien? What are you doing?" Spinning around to see the model walking up to me.
"I wanted to make sure that you're alright, plus, I don't really wanna be stuck third wheeling Alya and Nino." He chuckled.
"Yeah, fair enough. I'm okay." Reassuring him.
"We should do something, just us two." He smiled.
"That sounds like fun, what do you have in mind?" Our eyes interlocked.
"We could go back to yours and bake something?" He suggested.
"That sounds like fun! Let's do it!" Causing Adrien's eyes to light up. We flicked Nino and Alya a text saying we were doing our own little thing and headed to my home.
Adrien's POV:
A slight ding was heard as we entered Marinette's bakery, parents stopped and looked up, welcoming us with a smile.
"Marinette! Whose this?" Her Mother asked, gesturing to me as I gave an awkward and shy smile.
"This is Adrien, a friend from school." Marinette replied. Ouch. I know that we indeed were only friend's and that she didn't like me like that. Besides, I love Ladybug, so why did it hurt?
"Good afternoon, Adrien." Her Mother said, welcoming me to their home.
"Thank you for having me, Mrs Cheng." I smiled.
"Please, call me Sabine." By now her father had taken place next to her.
"This must be Adrien, my daughter can't stop talking about you!" Her father exclaimed, I heard a small gasp and turned to see Marinette who'd gone beet red.
"Dad!" Marinette hissed, causing her parents to laugh.
"Well now that you're here can you close up for us? We just have to go get some baking supplies from the store, we won't be too long." Mrs Chen- I mean Sabine- said, giving Marinette a sly wink.
"Yeah that's fine, we were going to do some baking anyways." Marinette smiled.
"Sounds like fun, have fun you two!" Her father said, before they left us alone in the bakery.
"Sorry about them, they're very... interesting." She awkwardly laughed.
"No worries, I think it's cool. My father isn't as welcoming as yours are."
