Adrien's POV:

Rumours were spread around the school as the day went on. I was often caught up in the reworded stories about what had happened, none of them remotely true. Marinette was absent today, who could blame her.

Alya seems to have changed back to her regular self, constantly bombarding Chloe and I with questions about Marinette, though Chloe and I agreed to keep the real situation between us. It was agreed that we'd go talk to Marinette once school finishes, I'd feel better knowing why she had acted the way she did last night.

"You alright?" Chloe nudged me.

"I'll be fine." Chloe gave me a sympathetic look.

-

Her parents weren't at the counter as usual, but we didn't let that stop us so we welcomed ourselves.

"Hello?" I called out.

"In the living room," Chloe and I followed the sound of Sabine's voice. Tom and Sabine both were sitting next to each other, their faces looking anything but relieved.

"What's going on?" Chloe basically read my mind.

"It's Marinette, something is off." Sabine watched as Tom began to explain their night experience.

"You should go talk to her." Chloe pointed at me,

"Why me?" Feeling a bit nervous just in case she hated this version of me too.

"No one knows Marinette like you do." Sabine and Tom nodded in agreement.

"Alright," I unconvincingly replied.

Marinette's POV:

I spent hours looking through the photos and videos I had gathered on my phone, comparing them to what my memories were telling me. Some of them proved to be very similar while others were bent in ways I can't describe.

"Marinette? Are you here?" My heart immediately began to race at the voice my ears knew all too well,

"Hide Tikki." Whispering to my Kwami, who surprisingly didn't seem all too bothered by the fact she could be found out.

"Um, y-yeah!" I blurted out while quickly piling all the photo albums up, shoving them to the side. His blonde mop of hair dopily popped up from the hatch, a nervous smile on his face. Heat rushed up to my cheeks as I gave Adrien a small wave.

"Hey, Adrien!" I eyed him curiously as he approached me in caution.

"Marinette!" He exclaimed, pulling me into a bone crushing hug. He smelt nice.

Stop it, Marinette. That's weird.

"Woah- What's that for?" Exaggerating my shortness of breath as he pulled away meeting his glossy eyes.

"I'm sorry," He nervously laughed, his hand reaching to rub the back of his neck, "I just missed you is all."

"I missed you too!" Even though I don't even remember anything. I suppose that may have been something he needed to hear as his mood perked up dramatically.

"So... How've you been?" He sheepishly asked.

"I don't really know..." Nervously twiddling my fingers together.

"Talk to me." Adrien took my hand in his before leading me to sit down next to him on my chaise.

"I don't really know where to begin," My mind raced to try and find a solution myself.

"How about from the start?" Giving himself a 'well earned' half laugh.

"That was extremely helpful." Rolling my eyes at him.
"I have my ways," Wiggling his eyebrows in a taunting manner.
