Bet y'all thought you had to wait a whole month for this. Y'ALL THOUGHT WRONG HA!Thank you so much for the sweet comments, it really made me smile and I hope you like this chapter!
In other news, I have baked a chocolate cake. I had been craving it for weeks, and then I said fuck it, and I made a fucking cake and it was so good, I'm gonna make it again. I even bought a mixing bowl and a spatula, and lemme tell you. I love that spatula. It's like nothing I've ever felt before, it scoops and turns so well, I went nuts I swear. I even made icing, but that was a lil wonky because mixing butter without a blender (heh, i do not recommend, my arms got a workout) was hell. But it turned out delicious.
If you have any nice and easy tasty recipes, share it. I love cooking and I have a recipe books that looks like a spellbook. Next i wanna get a cooking pot that looks like a cauldron. It's late lol and I need sleep but I have also been pretty lonely so I like telling y'all about my days. I feel like a hermit witch talking to the forest animals.
IT ALSO SNOWED!!! It's like the first time I've seen snow falling, and at first it was like tiny lil cute rocks, but later there were snow flurries!!! Actual snow flurries, and I kept going 'Wow,' like that Owen Wilson gif.In the next chapter, I'll tell y'all about me trying to break into my house through a window after my door lock got jammed.

The battlefield is strewn with overturned and smoking Fire Nation tanks. Scattered along the way are smaller fights between the soldiers and the invasion force, both sides fiercely struggling to turn the tide on their side, but it's a very even match, resulting in regrouping.
Sokka, Bato, and (Y/n) are examining a map in the safe center of their caterpillar tanks, and surrounding the machinery are the waterbenders and earthbenders holding off the firebenders from getting through. Toph leads the battle, slamming huge rocks through Fire Nation tanks, and as they crash, the collision is a deafening explosion that has Sokka wincing and looking out through a gap.
From the back, Katara is supporting Hakoda through the plaza's large doorways, and he is holding his wounded side, but he's making steady progress.
Sokka leaps up and meets them halfway. "You're on your feet again!" He exclaims amidst the din. (Y/n) follows, and Toph, who noticed the commotion that can only come from Sokka's loud voice, pulls back from the battle and joins the small family as Hakoda is eased down gently to rest on the ground.
"Thanks to your sister," Hakoda grunts, pushing back his straying hair into his half-ponytail. "How are we doing?"
"Everything's going smoothly, and the eclipse hasn't even kicked in yet," Sokka reports, pushing back his wolf helmet, and it reveals his glowing face, even as sweat trickles down his temples. When they turn to the sky, they see the sun shining brightly, but just barely, the moon is closing in, hedging the small gap between them.
Hakoda eyes the battlefield, a pleased hum escaping him. "Let's hope our luck holds out. Katara, you seem distracted. Is something wrong?"
Katara is squinting at the distance, way into the Fire Nation capital, and she takes a few steps forward, murmuring, "Yeah... Is that... is that Aang?"
"What?" Sokka turns in the same direction, but for a second, he makes eye-contact with (Y/n), who seems... dazed; 'in her own world' is the only way to explain it, and he wants to pull her aside to check up on her. Maybe she's overwhelmed by the battle, especially since she is a little sensitive to the louder explosions and screams, but when Aang glides down on his staff, dodging the numerous fireballs flying his way, (Y/n)'s eyes clear up and she welcomes back with a grim expression.
Something niggles in the back of Sokka's mind. First, it was Aang mentioned he felt off about (Y/n) in the battle, and then (Y/n) herself being so out of character, and now, he himself feels it, like a storm cloud that's coming their way.
