My name is Makayla Johnson, and this is my story of how i got accepted at the school of TRIS.

It was the most normal day of a normal week. I was getting ready for school when my mom called," Makayla! There's a letter addressed to you! It's from...a prestigious school that's accepting you as a student. Weird.. I can't seem to read the school's name." I walked towards her and she passed the letter to me. I tore the envelope with a letter opener and read the content.
From: Mrs Dean, principal of the school of the of Tributes, Runners, Initiates and Shadowhunters
To: Makayla Johnson
Dear Ms Johnson,
We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted into the school of Tributes, Runners, Initiates, and Shadowhunters (school of TRIS) as a student. School will start in two days' time and transport will be provided for you and it will come at 9 in the morning.
You are only required to bring your own luggage and necessities as students are required to stay on campus for the entire school year. Books and other materials will be provided by the school. Your first year in this school will be training to be a shadowhunter.

After reading the letter at least twice, i felt giddy in the head. Im given a place in the school of TRIS? Not only is it a prestigious school, its the most mysterious school in the whole wide world! The school itself is located in Idris, which is a place that you cannot find unless you are granted access into it, as you can just travel from one end of Idris to the other end without realizing you have bypassed it. Only students with special abilities (AKA non-mundanes, in which mundanes refer to those who are ordinary people) are allowed into the school. And i am not. At first i thought that this was a prank played by my friend for fun, but i realized that there was no way she could fake the signature and the school stamp. So i decided that the school must have delivered to the wrong Makayla Johnson. I looked at the date of issue and realised that i, or which ever Makayla that the letter was issued to, was two days' ago, and i only had an hour the pack everything.
