This competition will be like you guys voting for people to play as the casts for the characters in this story(e.g. Makayla--> lily collins) Comment if you want this competition:) pic on top is Makayla's bedroom, but less messy, lesser furnitures and the wardrobe is opposite the bedroom. Enjoy!

"I wonder what kind of assembly it will be" Selkie said. We are currently making our way down the stairs. Zoe said the school was calling an assembly and that we needed to go there together as a group, since all 30 of us had arrived. According to Selkie, who checked the layout of the house earlier on, since she was one of the first to arrive, the boys were sleeping on the third floor, the girls were sleeping on the second floor, with a total of 20 rooms for the second and third floors. The rest of the facilities were located at the first floor, such as the dining room, kitchen, library, etc... As well as a laundry room, which i shuddered to think. Will the girls' load be separated from the guys? I hope that they will have a separate load from us.

"Do we have to go down? I want to stay here!" Someone called from the floor above. Both our heads turn to look up and we saw some boys leaning over the railing and looking down at us. "Cole, I think you have to go." Another guy answered him. The guy, who was called Cole, looked at us and asked," are you guys going down?" We nodded. I shouted up," i think its going to be one of those assemblies where they do an intro of the school and things like that." Just then, Zoe came up the stairs and said," we better go now, its starting in 5 mins time!"

Everyone hurried down the stairs and a few bewildered students at the first floor heard all the thumping sound from us clambering down the stairs. After we descended down the stairs, i noticed that Cole had one of those tattoos that izzy had on her arms, except his were lesser. He caught me staring at his arm and said,"Quit staring. You're gonna get it soon too." I finally got a good look at him and noticed that he had blue piercing eyes, his black hair slightly disheveled, like he just woke up. "Are you from Idris?" I came to conclude. "Yeah, i already know about the shadow hunter's history, and i bet they're gonna repeat it again during the assembly talk thingy, so yeah, that's the reason why i wanted to stay here." "Well, i dont exactly know what its going to be like." "Well, you either like the history or not. I, for one, didn't really like it because it sound so unreal. Like, i mean, how can someone call an angel and the angel actually respond? That's just absurd. I'm sorry if i spoiled the history for you but well, too bad." I laughed at his use of words and said,"Its actually fine. Doesnt sound so good to me too." "So, im guessing that you already know my name, but what's yours?" "Im Makayla Johnson." "Is it ok if i call you Kayla? Your name is really long." "I guess you can, since i dont have a nickname." "Well then, Kayla, nice meeting you." "Same here."

"I hate to burst your bubbles, but can you two stop flirting for a moment? We are going to the school soon. Which brings me to the question. Do you guys want to walk there or portal there?" My face turned crimson while the rest replied her, saying "portal". "Well then." She took out a long, silver, twig like thing from her pockets and drew this symbol on the floor. It was similar to the tattoos on Izzy and cole's arms and torso. So there's where it came from. When she was done with it, a portal appeared. It look like the surface of a mirror but with a watery texture to it. I tried peering into it to see what was on the other side, but i couldn't see anything.

"Try to envision your destination, which is the school, in your head. Then step through the portal." Zoe said and stepped through it. "Now's a really good time to introduce your guy to me. In case that portal goes haywire." Selkie said. "Selkie, meet Cole. And Cole, meet Selkie." I said with a flourishing grin. So far, i have two friends on the first day i got here. Not a bad start. "Any friend of Kayla is a friend of mine." Cole told her. "Same her--Wait. Did you just call her Kayla? Cool nickname. I must say that her name is quite long." At that moment we were the last few students to go through the portal, and Cole said," Its now or never. Let's go." I envisioned the school, the principal's office, the auditorium that i saw in the directory which i came across when i was in the school, and after i went through the portal, i ended up at the auditorium. And there were only a few of us in front of the auditorium, including cole. "Ugh, don't tell me the rest actually thought of the principal's office when they first came through." cole said. "Well, Selkie is missing too." Zoe came over to us and told us to stay put while she will go and find the rest. "They may be in the principal's office!" Cole called out. We sat around for another five minutes before we saw Zoe returning with at least 10 of them in toll. "Next time, remind me to never use a portal until you guys learn it during runelogy lesson."

Zoe lead us to the auditorium. It was huge, and there were other students in it too. Luckily we weren't late, and it was starting soon. Zoe ushered us into a few rows of seats and i was seating in between Selkie and Cole. A guy with brown hair and brown eyes sat down beside cole, and cole introduced me to his friend, Cameron. "Call me Cam." He said. I realized two things at that moment: one, he was the guy who answered Cole on the stairs a while back, and two, he must have grown up in Idris too, since i could see the mark on his hand from my position. "Im Makayla, but you can call me Kayla. And this is my friend, Selkie." "Hi" she said. We started chatting for a while before Izzy went up the stage and started her introduction speech.

"Welcome, students, to the School of Shadowhunters. This is the place where you will learn how to become a proper shadow hunter with proper facilities..." Although i liked Izzy, i really hate opening speeches, and i tried to stifle my yawn. Soon enough, i started sleeping, but i awoke to loud clapping from the student population. "What happened?" I whispered to Selkie. "Her speech finally ended and she is introducing the teachers at this school." I glanced at the stage and there was a line of teachers, one for each subject.

Izzy went up the stage again. "Now, i would also like to warmly welcome the principal from the school of TRIS, as well as the students, to this school. Mrs Dean, please." A tall and thin woman walk up the stage, to the mic, and started her speech. In her really sharp voice. "Thank you Ms Lightwood. As you all know..." "She's a bit old fashion, don't you agree?" Selkie said. "She looks weird and old fashioned. Like there's something off about her." "Yeah" then she started talking about the history of the school and how it came about. "The founder of this school was actually from another universe, where the original school of TRIS is, the one where you will be training to be an initiate. The founder is Tobias Eaton, who opened up a school many years ago after his supposed lover, Beatrice Prior died, in memory of her. This school is named after her because 'Tris' was the name that she had chosen for herself when she was sixteen." Wow. I didn't expect that to be the history. "At least he didn't commit suicide to be with his Juliet." Cole joked. Mrs Dean finally said the most important part about being in this school, which is what we will be doing this year.

"As you all know, the school of Shadowhunters are meant for all of you to train. However, for the TRIS students, you will only be training here for 6 months, as you will be spending the rest of the year training to be an initiate, from the feedback of past year students. Ms Lightwood have kindly place 6 seniors in the house that you all are staying in to help you will your work, which is why there is a total of 40 rooms on the upper floors even though there are 30 of you. The seniors are Adam Parker, Tyler Chase, Will Finley, Alyssa Taylor,  Blair Duncan, and Zoe Cain, who is the overall adminitrator in the house. Are there any questions?" "How do you know that we are shadow hunters?" I shouted from where i was seated, too lazy to stand up and ask. "Well, the staff at the school of TRIS have done thorough research about you backgrounds. I will be sending the TRIS students a copy of their background, and you will see why." But we don't have a computer, I thought. As if sensing my distress, Zoe, who was seating in the row before me, turned towards me and said,"Don't worry, there is a computer room back at the house for you guys to use."

"Is there any other questions? If not, this assembly is over. All students are to report to school by 8.30am tommorrow, and please stop by my office for your class timetables. TRIS students, I already have you timetables ready, so one of you can come over to my office to get the stack of timetables. Students, you may leave the auditorium now." Assemble was finally over, and it is probably time for dinner, I thought.
