^in case u get confuse about what kind of shower knob that was use in the story:) also, some of the details are made up by me, so don't ask why. On with the story!
I went back to my room after ending the phone call and saying goodnight to Selkie. Then i realized that my report was with her. Seeing that it was late and i didn't want to disturb her, I changed and got into bed. Sleep came easy for me as i was very tired after the day's event.
I woke up with my phone's alarm blaring on the dresser beside my bed. "Ugh" i sat up, trying to suppress a yawn but failed. I left the warmth of my bed, got out my shadow hunter gear, and entered the bathroom for a hot shower. But i had second thoughts after looking at the shower system. I left my gear on the towel rack in case it got wet or something, and try to figure out how to use the complicated shower head. Where's the knob for the hot and cold water? And how did i switch it off yesterday?
"Ok maybe i should see what this knob doe-- holy crap!" Turns out that the biggest level in the middle of the water pipes was not to adjust the hot and cold, but for water to gush out of the shower head, leaving me wet, cold and looking like a drenched rat, and my pjs sticking to my skin. The only reason i could shower yesterday was because i asked Zoe to help me adjust the knob, and completely forgot to ask her to teach me how to use it after i showered. I immediately turn the knob back to its original position to stop the water from drenching me more. Just then i notice there's a sign etched into the knob. An arrow pointing to the left for cold water and another arrow pointing to the right for the hot water. Oh, so there's only suppose to have one knob. I quickly strip, step into the shower and turn the knob quickly to the right.
After fifteen minutes of hot shower, as i couldn't seem to get the temperature just warm, i finally emerged 'victory' from the battle with the shower. I got out of shower, put on my gear, and left my wet pjs hanging by the hook near the towel rack, hoping that i can bring them to the dryer soon. I then got out of the bathroom, put on my boots, and went to Selkie's room, knocking lightly on her door. When there wasn't any response after waiting like an idiot outside her door, i knocked again. Still no response. "Selkie, are you inside?" I called out. Just when i was about to force my way inside, i finally heard her say,"wait a sec!", and the door sprang open. She was still in her sleepwear and look like she just woke up, her hair in a mess.
"Do you know what time it is? Its almost 7:45 am and we need to assemble downstairs by 7:55, including eating breakfast, and you just woke up?" She looked horrified, and realizing that she had less than 10 minutes to get ready and freshen up, immediately took her gear into the bathroom to change. Within minutes she was done, her hair no longer tangled, and look alright except maybe a bit tired. "Let's go." She said and we rushed out of the room and went downstairs.
By the time we got there, we were one of the last few to arrive. Everyone else was most done with their breakfast and were cleaning up. I went to get a piece of toast from the plate in the center, spread some butter, and started eating, but was suddenly stopped by Selkie. "What?" "It's a tradition that shadow hunters have to kinda pray, but silently in your mind, and thank the angels and god for a waking up to a new day and for all the food. Its like a minute of gratitude." "Well then." I quickly did it and continued on with my breakfast. Soon, we were getting ready to go to school.
