A/N
I hope this makes up for long wait:3

"We share the same classes." "I think they put all of us in the same classes" "true." Me and Selkie are currently laying on her bed, talking about random things while looking at our timetables. Her room was pretty similar to mine with the same layout; except her color pattern was different. She had red velvety curtains and a dark purple bed with many comfy pillows around, while mine was dark blue and green. Selkie told me that the rooms were done according to the students preference of colors and they changed the bedsheets, curtains, and anything else once every 6 months.

"So tomorrow is Thursday and we are having runelogy first thing in the morning, from 8.00 to 10.00 because its double period, and each period is 1 hour. Then we'll be having physical combat for the next hour at the training block, followed by history class. Then its lunch for an hour. Whoo! The best period ever!" I laughed at her enthusiasm about lunch. We just had dinner about 30 minutes ago, which was made by zoe who had done it real quick (i wondered how too) and i had showered and blow dry my hair by then. We did a self introduction during dinner, though the seniors staying with us and Zoe kept glancing at one another. Anyway, we had a couple of house rules that we had to follow. Firstly, light out is at 11.00pm latest, and the boys were not allowed to enter the girls' rooms after 11.00pm too, and vice versa. Next, dinner would not always be provided so we might have to make our own ones on some days, or buy take-outs, instead of relying on Zoe. Lastly, we must listen to our seniors and Zoe, and ask for one of their permissions before we leave the house or something, otherwise it will be considered as breaking the rules and punishment will be dealt swiftly. Then afterwards, she passed us the timetables as well as the report on our personal information that mrs Dean had promised us. I was fingering the report when Selkie burst into my room and literally dragged me into her room to compare her timetable with mine, but we figured out hat everyone had the same one.

"...and lastly, we have a stealth class. Hey Kayla, are you still listening to me? Or have you zone out? Hello?" She started waving her hand in front of me. Her hand was coming nearer and nearer to my face before i suddenly became aware of my surroundings and stopped her before she managed to even touch my face. "Why did you do that for?" I asked, annoyed. "Did you even see me waving my hand in front of you? I was talking to you and you were just staring into the space behind me" I shook my head, and told her i was just wondering what was in the report. "Its probably your own personal information, and like why are you a shadow hunter. I already knew that i was a shadow hunter because my dad used to be one, until he married my mom." "Why isn't he a shadow hunter now?" I asked. "That's 'cause a shadow hunter is not allowed to marry mundanes, and my mom didnt make it to Ascend, where she could become a shadow hunter. But he loved her a lot so he was willing to make the sacrifices. He had to leave the clave, become a mundane, and be stripped of his marks. And according to the shadow hunter law, firstly, the Shadowhunter must sever contact with any and all Shadowhunters they have ever known, even their own family. Secondly, they cannot call upon the Clave for help. And thirdly, the Clave can still lay claim to their children, wherein they can their children will be made aware of their lineage and will be offered to become Shadowhunters every six years until they are eighteen." "So you were offered 2 times?" "Yup. I said no twice but afterwards, i felt that i should accept the offer and TRIS seemed to have read my mind and one day, i found that letter in my home mail. Im actually really glad i got accepted, and that i met you." She said, smiling while looking at me, and asked,"What about you?" "I honestly have never given a thought to why i was accepted, but i have no knowledge of why im a shadow hunter. None of my parents seem to be one. The thing is, i think my mom isn't really my mom." I said, frowning a bit. "What do you mean?" She asked, gasping. "Well, you see that i have brown and grey eyes, my dad has brown and black eyes while mom has blond and blue eyes. So how did i inherit grey eyes? But...she has been taking care of me since i was young, and hypothetically, if she is not my mom, why would she take care of me like i was her own child? Like that time when i got lost in a shopping mall when i was younger. She was so worried when she finally found me, and she was scolding me while checking to see if i was alright." "Well, im pretty sure we will find out soon enough. Everything should be inside that report." She said softly, drawing my attention to the report that i was still holding on to.
