Two days. Two days that you have been spending on the road. You had gone to visit your family and have been on the trip since tuesday. This was your first time driving to your parents new house alone so it was strange. You have stopped at some gas stations for restroom breaks and food. You hadn't eaten since the night before and it was already 11 in the morning. You have been looking out for Diners or gas stations but to your luck, there were none. You then saw ahead a sign that read DX . You soon realized it was a gas station. You sigh in relief and drove a little faster. When you got there you parked your car but didn't get out. You noticed there were lots of guys out there just waiting for you to get out of the car. You decided to be tough and got out the car and walked quickly inside. You heard lots of whistling and howling from the guys which you weren't use to. You went to get some snacks and drinks for the car ride. When you went to the cash register you noticed no one was there. You rang the bell three times but no one came. Again, you rang it and in came in a guy.
“Hey, sorry about that, I was in the back helping my friend.” Said the guy.
“Yeah, no problem. Hey, you know those guys out there? ” You ask him.
“The clean cut guys? Yeah, we don't get along with them. ” The guy said.
“We? Who's we? ”
“Us, Greasers.” He smiles and you shake your head at him.
“My name is Steve, you are? ”
“(Y/n), Nice to meet you Steve.” You smile at him. He was cute and nice.
“You know (Y/n), why don't we go out sometime, we can get to know eache other and you know. ” He says nervously.
You have never gone out on a date, especially since you were you starting college and weren't use to dating. But he seemed like a nice gentleman so why not.
“I would love to. ” You say to Steve.
“Hey Soda! I got a date with the most beautiful girl! ” He yelled to his friend.
You gave Steve your number and payed for your stuff. He walked you to your car and said his goodbye. Later that night, he called you at your parents house and stayed all night talking.
Weeks paased and you guys still kept in touch and went out on dates. He made you feel special and always filled your days with happiness .
“(Y/n), can I tell you something? ” Steve asks.
“What is it, Steve? Everything okay? ” You say as you take a bit off your Ice cream.
“Everything's fine. It's just, I like you. I been liking you for a while, when I'm with you, I forget about my problems and about everyone else around us. I don't know about you but when i'm with you, your smile is brighter and your eyes are full if joy. I just want to know if you also feel the same for me.”
Your stomach fluttered at his words. He was right. I did feel the same way for him.
“You're the reason why my smile is brightens everyday. Steve, I like you a lot. I don't have any words to explain how I really feel.”
“Would you be my girlfriend, (y/n)?” Steve asks you.
You stand up and kiss him on the lips. He smiles at you and you whisper to him.
“I would love to be your girlfriend. ”
