It was a regular Friday for you, you have just gotten home from school and have eaten a snack. You have planned to go out with your girlfriends but they decided to hang out with their boyfriends instead. Your boyfriend Dally was out with the gang so you decided to stay in instead. You took a nap in the couch and woke up 2 hours later hearing your mom cooking in the kitchen. You walked in and hugged her from behind.
"Hi mom, how was work?" You asked her.
"Stressful as always. How was school?" She asks.
"Boring as usual." You say and sit in a chair.
"Oh, sweetie, Dally stopped by and left you something in your room." You looked at her confused and walked to your room. When you opened the door, a pastel purple dress was laid out in your bed with some white flats. To the side was a folded paper. You walked towards your bed and grabbed the note.
"Hello baby,
Meet me up at the Drive in tonight at 7:00. Please wear this dress, I bought it cause I knew it would look beautiful on you.
I'll see you later beautiful. I love you."
You put the note down and held the dress. It was a very cute and simple dress. You got into the shower and got ready. It was about to be 7, so you went to tell your mom you were heading out and left. You didn't want to walk all the way over there so you took the bus. Everyone was staring at you in the bus, maybe cause you were all dolled up. When you got to the drive in, it was all empty. No cars and no people. You walked further in and saw Dally sitting down near a table that was neatly fixed. You walked towards him and he greeted you with a hug and a kiss.
"Hello there beautiful." He says to you. He pulls out a flower from his back and hands it to you.
"What is all this?" You say as you look around and then you dart your eyes at him who is dressed well and not in his usual clothes.
"I decided to take you out on a nice date," He smiles at you.
"For what?"
"Because I love you. I feel like I don't really show you how much I care for you. I knew you were going to hang out with your friends, so I told them to tell you they would hang out with their boyfriends so I can take you on a date."
"Wait, you told them to bail on me?" You laughed once he nodded.
"Oh Dally!" You say as you kiss him.
He took your hand and walked you by the table were the food was already placed. You both started eating while watching the comedy movie play in the big screen in front of you. From the side of your eyes, you would notice him glancing at you every once in a while. After you guys ate, you walked to the spot where thee was grass, Dally had already planned everything and had bought a blanket to lay in. You both laid down, you sitting in front of him while his hands were around your waist.
"I enjoyed every minute of today, from planning this date to being with you in my arms." Dally says to you as he kisses the top of your head.
"And I enjoyed every minute that I spent with you" You say as you kiss his hand.
