"HE DID WHAT?" Marlene exclaimed.
Isabelle was sitting with her three best friends: Lily Evans, Marlene McKinnon and a pile of chocolate frogs, while on the smooth ride up to Hogwarts. The three of them were breathless from laughing but Isabelle managed to reply, "He proposed to me! Can you believe it? He actually proposed to me! I've known this boy for five days and he wants to marry me? Nuh uh, I don't think so."The three girls were talking about Isabelle's eventful summer holiday in Florida while salty tears rolled down their faces at her extreme tales.
"Well, was he being sincere?" Lily said while holding her side.
"Yes! He cried and everything when I said no! What did he expect? Like, hey Jake, or was it James? Anyway, yes let's go get married today! I know that we're only sixteen and you're a muggle and I will have to disappear back to magic school in a week, but yeah, let's get married!"
The door to Isabelle's compartment slid open, and as their laughter faded, the seated girls saw four smiling faces looking down at them. Remus Lupin, who Isabelle had always got on well with and often helped to study, Peter Pettigrew, who she didn't really know that well, James Potter, who was on the Gryffindor quidditch team with her and who she liked for the most part and, well...Sirius Black.
Izzy stood up to hug Remus, while waving and saying cheery "hellos" to the other marauders. Encouragingly, she grinned at James and gave him a small thumbs up as he lead Lily over to join him at the prefects compartment and caught Sirius doing the exact same thing. As Isabelle was about to sit down, the train jolted to a holt and went black.
Losing balance, she stumbled and tripped over one of the boy's bags, as two strong arms wrapped around her waist, steadying her. "Crap" she thought. Isabelle had been caught by none other than Sirius Black. Brushing herself off, she moved out his steady grip and found her way back to her seat. Despite the compartment being pitch black, Isabelle could practically see Sirius's eyebrow raised mischievously as he whispered in her ear, "So much for not needing my help. Hey?"
As the train grew darker and colder than what was believed possible, Isabelle snapped back, "I don't." But her voice came out much quieter than what she had anticipated. Sensing her unease, Sirius reached out his hand and clasped her own. They said nothing more, neither of them acknowledging the fact that they were holding hands until the suspicious darkness had passed. As light flooded the train once again, life filtered back into their compartment, and the sight of Marlene, Remus and Peter sitting across from the pair caused them to immediately spring apart.
After determining that the train was safe and that everyone was okay, conversation continued as normal; jokes were thrown around the group and light hearted remarks were made about each teens summer. Smiling amiably, Isabelle barely contributed to the conversation, her mind fixed on her brief moment with Sirius. A moment of peace, unlike any other they had, without any taunting jokes, or snappy comebacks.
No she couldn't- She would not have feelings for Sirius Black.
As the train ride went on, Isabelle would never realise that the boy sitting next to her was feeling the exact same way.

But before I post that, I was thinking that I might post the cast of who I imagined in the roles of the Marauders era characters which should be out today! Please interact, I would love to see your thoughts! Bye for now, see you next chapter!
