Three years later
Alita stared at the man in front of her. She knew he was talking and trying to woo her with what he thought were seductive words. But in truth, they only made her want to throw up. As the future C.E.O of her father's company, Alita had been forced to interview a lot of people, attend business meetings and of course have official meetings with the shareholders of the company of which this man presently sitting opposite her, blabbing nonsense was one of .
"You know what I'm talking about, don't you?" The man asked, showing of a set of dirty teeth. This time, Alita had had enough. She got up and told the pot-bellied man.
"I'm sorry sir, but I have to go. I have an appointment with someone".
"But it's already 4:45 PM. Where else would you be going."
"Like I said sir, I have an appointment. It was nice meeting you". She said Curtly with a stern face and walked out.
She hadn't lied, had she? She had a meeting with her mother and younger sister to be held in the dinning room, with delicious home-cooked food to be served. It was the only appointment she loved when ever she visited home from college. Her sister, Lily was now in High School. At least, Lily made friends. She wasn't burdened with the responsibilities of a future C.E.O .
On getting home, dinner was already served. Her father was absent from the table as usual. Nobody seemed to mind being used to it. Well nobody except one - Lita's mother. Though she smiled and laughed, if you looked real closely, a debt of sadness resided in those beautiful eyes that Alita had inherited. Being the only one who could see it, and feel it, Alita strengthened her resolve never to have anything to do with men. She was going back to face different guys trying to get her attention. If her mother's life couldn't spur her to abide by that firm decision that she had taken, then what happened at prom night would do the trick. She had learnt from both her experience and that of other people . All men ever did was make the lives of women miserable.****************
Leo groaned as his sister , Rose jumped on his bed. He was trying to get some reading done. He had to return back to school tomorrow. So far, the short break had been infuriating and tiring as Rose had made him decorate cookies and do all sort of girly things he would on a normal circumstance walk past without a glance. College life was more interesting. He was a typical bad boy ironically did exceptionally well in all tests and examinations. His days at the college were gradually coming to an end though. Soon, he would have to take over his father's company. Going back to school meant having a flock of girls around him and he looked forward to the experience with nostalgia. All the girls seemed to want was money. The only female who happened to have his interest at heart was currently giving him a head ache. He needed a woman to love and be loved in return but he was sure that such a person did not exist. Little did he know that he was in for the surprise of his life.
