I Breathe In And Breathe Out

I've been here for too long. It's driving me crazy. It's not like I'm alone, but sitting in this hospital bed has just been crazy. The doctor keeps telling me, "Soon Bella. Soon you can walk" but I don't know what he means by soon because it's been 3 weeks and 2 days since I woke up. I look over at my best friend and smile to myself as I remember all the funny times we've been having in this place. She's so strong and I'm so very proud of her. She's my rock and I'm nothing without her. She looks at me and raises both eyebrows (she can't raise just one), saying, "godBella you're such a creeper."

I grin at her and reply, "no way! You're just do damn funny to watch!"

She rolls her eyes and the doctor walks in saying, "So Bella. Ready to walk?" I could have screamed. "you're letting me walk?!" yeah okay so I DID scream... Don't judge me. I saw Luna take out her phone and start recording me. "you can stand now if you want" the doctor told me. I nodded and reached out towards him. He gripped my hand and gently pulled me onto my feet. "that's good" I was standing.

"GUYS GET IN HERE!" Luna screamed. Zack and Harry rushed in and when they saw me, stopped dead in their tracks. "y-you're standing..." Zack trailed off. The rest of the guys piled in and all started grinning maniacally. I noticed Luna and Liam share a look. I looked up at the doctor and he slowly let go of my arms and let me stand on my own. "guys...." I breathed out. I slipped my left foot foreword and then my right. I took my first step. The doctor helped me sit back on my bed and lay down. I caught my breath and looked up at everyone. They all had tears in their eyes. DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD IT IS TO SEE ALL TIME LOW AND ONE DIRECTION CRY?! It's like kicking puppies. I couldn't take it. I burst into tears and Luna ran over and enveloped me into a tight hug. "you did it...." she whispered then cleared her throat, "you did it!!"

All the guys started cheering and jumping around. I started to laugh at them, "you guys are such idiots" I said. They all grinned and ran forward, enveloping me in a dog pile hug. "guys! Can't breathe...." they all backed off. When Zack went to pull away I grabbed his hand and said, "wait... You stay with me while the other go get some good." I gave them all a pointed look and they went scurrying out.

"what's been up with you? It's like I hurt you."

"I just don't like to see the girl I like flirt with someone else." my heart dropped. "y-you like someone...?" he nodded. "well... She's really lucky..."

He looked up at me and then rolled his eyes, "you're an idiot. It's you!" and then he leaned in. I closed my eyes and a moment later I felt his lips on mine. Soft and persistent, asking but not taking. He was experienced and I liked it. I heard the door open and someone walk in saying, "I forgot to-" Zack and I pulled apart at Harry's voice. He looked at me and I could see the tears well up in his eyes as he turned and stomped out, slamming the door behind him. I looked at Zack, "what was that?"
