It's been two days since I arrived at this Penthouse. I met Mr. Jeon for the first time and I must say that my mom is a great judge of character. Mr. Jeon is really nice. Although he carries a cloud of authority around him, I can't deny the fact that he's a warm person.
Mr. Jeon looks exactly like JK just the older version. He's overflowing with charm and charisma just like his son. No wonder mom fell for him.
Mr. Jeon made sure that I would be comfortable with my new home. He even gave me an extra room intended for my artworks since mom told him that I quite enjoy painting and drawing. Well, as I should as an Architecture student.
I also met Mrs. Choi, one of their helpers. She's very nice and very sweet. I wasn't someone who strikes a conversation first, but with Mrs. Choi, engaging in conversations suddenly became light and easy.
On my two days stay here, I realized how genuinely happy my mom was when she's with Mr. Jeon. It was as if she has found the one she had long for, over the long passage of time. Looking at how they gaze into each other's eyes seem a bit different from when mom and my late dad looked into each other's eyes. I don't know what it is but I know that it's different.
Last night, I asked my mom about how he met Mr. Jeon, because I realized that I don't know anything about my mom's personal affairs anymore ever since I lived on my apartment alone. I only focus on my studies and on the cheerleading squad that I tend to neglect other important things.
I was on my study table writing on my diary when someone suddenly knocked on my door.
"It's open." I said as I maneuvered my swivel chair to face the door. She entered my room with a glass of milk on her hand.
"I brought you milk." She said as she handed me the warm milk she brought for me.
"Thanks mom." I said and smiled. She smiled back.
"By the way mom, how did you met Mr. Jeon?" I asked curiosity as I sip on my milk. I suddenly became curious because I felt like I know nothing about their story.
"Hmn." She sat comfortably on my bed and started to tell their story.
"He was my first love." She began to say with a smile pasted on her face.
"Dad wasn't your first love?" I asked in surprise. Although it wasn't a big deal to me, I still want to know because I'm curious.
"Your Dad was my savior." She chuckled. "He saved me from the pain that my best friend and the very same man I was about to marry in a few days had caused me ages ago." She laughs. "They made a mistake but I had forgiven them even before I can hear their apology because I'm in no position to get angry because he was never mine. We may have shown our affection towards each other countless times, but we never said those words. I regretted that I never told him about what I truly feel that time. We were so good together that we didn't realize that we still needed to say those words. I failed to utter those words until I no longer have the rights to say it. When my best friend got pregnant with his child, It really broke my heart that I even thought I wouldn't be able to go on with my life anymore, but your dad saved me from that pain. He took me away and he told me that he would help me forget him. He asked me to marry him and I did without second thought." She smiled once again. "I was so mad that I accepted your dad's proposal right away." She continued.
