Nayeon POV
I hear other heart beart as well. Is it mine?
No, its not mine.
Then, is it Bambam's?
"Nayeon, what are you thinking about? Let's go!" Lizzy says wake me.
"Where?" I say. I'm confused.
"You didn't listen? To the field. The teachers call us to gather. Anyway, you need to explain about what just happened between you and bambam later, okay?" She says and run to the field.
Omg. Don't tell me everyone see it. AAAAAAAAA What should i do??
Urgh.
Then, somebody tap my shoulder. SO, SOMEONE IS LOOKING PROBLEM WITH ME? IM NOT IN MOOD.
"WHAT DO YOU WANT?" I shout. I turn my head and finding blank Jinyoung. Omg.
"Ohh so-sorry, I just want to tell you to be hurry. The teachers look mad or something." He says in shock face and goes away asap.
I must did something that make him shock. AISH PABO YA.
I finally line up on my class row, finding Ms. Jung, our beloved and super kind PE teacher infront of us with mad face. What is happening?
"EVERYBODY LINE UP!" She shouts. God. She is different. She is nice and she is our favorite teacher. Never thought she has this kind of side. Well she is one of a kind.
"MAKE GROUPS OF FOUR, NOW!" She commands. Now, everyone is making groups without noise. All of us talk by whisper because afraid of her.
"I'm startled. How come Ms. Jung become this mean?" Lizzy whispers.
"Shush! You're too loud. Lower your voice. Anyway, let me join your group." I say while wink at her. She acts like die after saw me wink.
"Unfortunately, the group is full. Sorry...."
Damn. Then, i'll be ALONE?
I stare Lizzy dead, she looks down feeling bad for me. But her smile rise after seeing something. I turn my direction, curious what is she seeing.
Finding Bambam stands behind me with Suzy and Jinyoung.
"Hey, we need one more."
"I'm in!" I say excitedly. Thanks God. I thought i will be alone with people that i dont close with.
"ARE YOU DONE?! WHY IT TAKES SO LONG?" Ms. Jung shouts again. My team lines up asap in silence. Are they gonna make us punished just like in military or what?
Ms. Jung steps backward and Mr. Park, my homeroom teacher steps forward.
"EVERYONE, ARE YOU READY?" He shouts while holding back his laugh. He really isnt good at act haha
All of us shout yes even though doesnt know what is he talking about.
"LET'S PLAY A GAMEEEE!" He shouts in excitement but all the students keep in silent. Game? Is it really a game or punishment?
"Yaaa! You arent happy? We are are playing game!" He says convince us.
A student start to cheer and clapping by himself making others follow him as well as i do.
So, Mr. Park explains the game.
The game is called "The Beavers", the animals that live on the lake and like to gather branches to clog the lake. He explains the game is about collecting branches. We need to collect branches as many as we can. We can go to the forest, he says the forest is safe and we won't lost since the forest is rounded and small. But we must not cut the tree. The team that collects the most branches will get exclusive prize.
Exclusive prize?
"The exclusive prizes is special dinner!"He shout it loud. Omg. Everyone mood starts to burn up, their eyes start to create some fires.
"FIGHTIINNNGGGG!" Youngjae shouts somewhere but im sure its his voice.
Special dinner? Then, is he saying that dinner tonight will be awful except for the winners? WE MUST WIN!
Me and my team gather and discuss a tactic silently.
"So, here's the plan." Jinyoung says like a leader. His eyes have some fire too.
"let's do it seperately so we can collect more branches." He continues. Hmm not bad.
Along as Jinyoung leads us by his command, Ms. Jung gives us two plastick bags to put the branches.
"Let's decide our partner by papper rock scissor. The same one will be together." Bambam suggests.
Gosh. I hope i'll get Suzy. Even though she isnt close to me, but its better than my awkward existance to Bambam and Jinyoung.
"Paper rock scissor!"
I decide rock. BamBam got scissor. Suzy got paper. And jinyoung got rock.
Damn. I'm with Jinyoung. I can imagine it clearly how awkward it is to talk to him while looking for the branches.
"Ready, set, go!" Mr. Park shouts as the start begins.
"Let's go!" Jinyoung says while grab my wrist and run to the forest direction. I look at Bambam and Suzy who run to the opposite direction. Their smiles..
They look good together.
"Watch out, Nayeon!" It's Jinyoung's voice. I look forward and finding a big root. I'm about to hop it but its too late, the big root trips me.
"Are you okay?!" He says in panic.
I try to stand up but my ankle hurts. It feels like swollen.
Why do i keep falling today?!
"Can you walk?" He says.
"Do i look like able to?" I say.
Suddenly he stands up and carry me. Omg. What is he doing?
"Jinyoung-a. Thankyou, but if we're being like this, we won't win. So, just leave me here and go look for the branches." I say. He looks surprised, hearing my answer.
"IS THAT EVEN IMPORTANT RIGHT NOW? SEE! YOUR ANKLE IS TWISTED. HOW CAN I ACT LIKE I DONT CARE? DIDNT I TELL YOU-"
"That you're important to me?" I continue. Actually i'm quite surprised by the way he angry. Like ive never seen this side of his. But i'm tired by his words.
His anger starts to calm, realizing what he just did.
"Sorry. I'm not mean to." He says.
"I know.. Okay, just bring me to Ms. Jung. She knows how to treat it."
His smiles start to show as usual as he hear i want to be treated.
Suddenly, i hear laughing voices near to us. At first, i want to ignore it. But the voices are familiar.
"Jinyoung, do you hear that?"
"It's probably Suzy's and Bambam's laugh."
Suzy's and Bambam's laugh, huh? Their laugh hurts me as well.
