Jane had given up on sleep after two hours of tossing and turning. She sat on her chair and munched on her shortbreads which she hid in a tin from her mother so she could snack at night if she was hungry.

Her thoughts went from Lieutenant Commander Green to the Pirate constantly. She couldn't help but compare how different both men were. One man wished to marry her but was repulsed by her age, plump self and financial status.

The other one was nothing but a complete pervert who was very vocal on how he adored her body. Jane blushed and smiled. There were times where she would force herself to converse or dance with a potential man.

Almost all of them would rather disappear once they find out she was the daughter of a debt filled gentleman. The pirate however did not once ever talk about her father. His intentions were only her.

This pirate was rather genuine on his words and very much handsy on her body. Jane looked down at her large breasts. Even without a corset they were rather large.

Jane, "I wasn't wearing any perfume and he still said I smelled nice."

Jane sighed, "Oh what on earth am I talking to myself for?" Her thoughts were interrupted by a loud blast of a canon.

Jane dropped her tin and rushed to the balcony, "What on earth is going on?"

Stanley growled awaking himself.

Shots of canons blasted into the town. Stanley hissed with his tail straight up. Fire was burning everywhere and people were running screaming.

"PIRATES! PIRATES ON THE PORT! PIRATES ON THE LOOSE!"

Jane screamed loudly when she saw people slaughtered right in front of her house.

Jane didn't know how loud she scream but the next moment she was pulled back from the balcony.

Benedict, "Away from the open Jane!" He grabbed his crying daughter into his arms and hugged her tightly.

Margret quickly shut the glass balcony doors locking it and drawing the curtains.

Benedict shaking in fear reached his arm out to his wife, "Mrs Gray."

Margret jumped into his arm hugging their daughter.

Benedict whispered, "It's alright child. It's alright. They can't get in."

Margret wiping her tears, "Mr Gray we have to barricade the doors."

Benedict shook his head, "The servants can do that."

Margret shook him off, "We only have one servant and he left for the night! We have no one but ourselves!"
