Pete walked out of the professor's office with a relieved look on his face. Phew...
This degree, SOTUS, and the contest were too hard for him. The constant pressure from the seniors was taking a toll on him. Like it was his fault the senior last year came in runner-up! If he didn't take the competition seriously himself, then why the fuck he would make Pete work so hard over it? Only if he didn't have Kao and his notes to thank for, he would've run already and it wasn't even two months till they started.
Thinking of Kao...
He stopped in his tracks as he looked down at the notes, a brilliant idea forming in his head. This was the perfect way to get close to Kao once again.
.
.He found the adorable guy sitting along on his usual table with books open in front of him as he worked on some problem. Sometimes, he'd put the pen in his mouth as he focuses on the paper. Sometimes, he'd pout and other times, fix his glasses as he worked.
Pete smiled and walked up to Kao. "There"
Kao blinked. He looked up at the drink that was just placed on the table to the tanned arm that put it there and then finally, at the person's face. He blinked again.
Pete's smile widened seeing Kao gape at him with his mouth open. He looked so damn cute!
'Too cute. May be even cuter than the last year. How in the hell he ended up screwing things between them?' Pete asked himself.
They were doing fine. Great even. Ever since Sandee brought some supposed nerd to help them both pass maths, Pete had thought of it to be some push-over, easily scared, scrawny kid, with no personality whatsoever. Not a sassy and witty boy like Kao, not to mention his cuteness and that pretty face. He was a total dude one moment, and then a blushing mess the other and he drove Pete crazy. He knew he was crazy for Kao even before Kao befriended him. And just like that, they became almost inseparable till he didn't want to do a thing without Kao.
He could spend hours talking and bickering with the boy. He was even aware of those small gestures and smiles and touches he shared with the boy, he even knew that Kao knew he liked him. He hated Kao getting close to his supposed brothers. He hated when Kao paid attention to anyone else. He didn't like his friends being rude to Kao sometimes. Hell, he didn't even want any girls at school to look Kao's way. Then one day Kao hung out with him and Sandee and when one of her friends asked Kao out.
Kao as well as Pete were beyond shocked. Kao gaped at the girl who was smiling at him while Pete fumed inside. He knew for sure his spoiled cousin had friends just like herself, the said girl had confessed to him on multiple occasions as well. So, she must only be doing that to push his buttons cuz no way a spoiled and arrogant girl like her would look at an ordinary boy like Kao. And somehow Kao thought that too as he politely rejected her by openly admitting to being gay.
She must've felt embarrassed. Pete was sure.
But then he found out it was just a ploy for her to make Kao admit it. And the next day, the whole school knew it. Not that many kids were against Kao or gave him a hard time, but there were some who'd tease him or make fun of him. But it wasn't that bad. The only people who were nasty to Kao were Pete's close group of rich brats. They even joked and made fun of Pete to be this close to a gay. One particular friend going as far as to ask him if that was the reason he always kept the boy so close. 'No wonder you stopped sleeping around ever since he happened. Are you keeping him close to have a quick snack here and there? Tell me, how is it like, doing it with a man?'
'Hey! Can we all take turns too? A group bonding activity!' Another had joked.
'Has any of you ever seen him during PE? He has such fine ass! I'd dip my dick there anytime!'
