"Hey, why don't you two find a spot for us, I'll be right back" June told them and Kao literally jumped.

"What? U-us? M-me and... h-him?" he looked at Thada, found him frowning and hurriedly looked away, petrified. "Em..."

"Oi! He just looks like an extraterrestrial! Kick his jewels and he'd cry like any other human!" June joked and laughed at the adorably awkward face Kao made. "I'll just get water"

"Em..." Kao looked around, thinking of a way to make a run but then the man beside him spoke in his deep, intimidating voice. 

"Stay!"

And Kao felt his feet glued to the ground, not moving, though he did huff and crossed his arms. "Stay? What am I, your pet dog?" he mumbled but was startled when the man named Thada spoke again. 

"Not dog" Thada said, his face instantly becoming softer, with a hint of smile seeing those cute puffed cheeks that reminded him of a cute little animal. "A chipmunk"

Kao turned to him with round eyes and scared yet again, turned away. "Huh, I'm not an animal! Stupid! Scary! Brute!" he hissed in a low angry tone but Thada heard it, one side of his lips curling up slightly.

Kao shot him a glare and turned, accidentally bumping into someone. "Oh, sorry! So sorry" He apologized right away. 'What am I? A bumping magnet?'

"Oh, it's okay... Kao?!"

Kao blinked, recognizing the familiar voice. 'Oh fudge! No... Please... Don't be her... Don't be her... Please don't be her... Damn it! It's her!!'

"Em... Hey San" he said with a timid smile and was startled when the tiny girl hugged him tightly.

"Oh Kao! It's you. I've missed you! Where did you suddenly go last year?!" She asked happily.

Kao blinked. Then he looked around awkwardly, thinking of how to reply to it. 'Like, girl, you don't know what happened to me last year? Gimme a break!'

Instead, he subtly untangled himself from her. "I got accepted in ISB, I got a scholarship. It was an opportunity so..." He trailed off.

(A/n: I don't know if this is the best international school in Thailand or not but in this story, it's a famous and internationally acclaimed high school that isn't easy to get in and only those who show the greatest intelligence and skill in study, arts and sports)

"Oh, only you can do that, my genius Kao" she praised him. Then her eyes went up to the boy beside him, fixed on the tall and handsome, frowning man.

"Hi! I'm Sandee! Kao's friend from high school, you are?" she said and Kao blinked, pursing his lips tight shut, having an urge to roll his eyes. 'Yeah, sure, my diaper buddy that I didn't know I had' 

Thada looked at the tiny girl and looked away with a huff. 

Sandee blinked. "Hey! I was talking to you" she frowned, not liking the attitude thrown at her. Kao bit on his lower lip, taking turns looking at the man who stared at him and then at the girl who was staring at the said man. He sighed and pursed his lips, not saying a thing as June came back and talked animatedly to her, telling her not to mind the tongueless giant.

"Come, let's eat together!" June exclaimed and wrapped his arm around Kao's neck. "Let's go, pretty boy"

"Pretty my ass!" Kao huffed at him before he could stop himself and got startled again to find Thada staring quietly at him, his eyes narrowed sharply. Flustered, he looked away and let June drag him to meet some friend of Sandee like the awkward and lost puppy he was. 'Oh... wait!!! Did he just say Sandee's friend?!'
