Hope and Maura recently found out they were mother and daughter on accident after Paddy O'Doyle of the Irish Mob was hospitalized and it came out while Korsak and Jane were interviewing him after he was shot by the Russian mob. Jane was reluctant to tell me but eventually did after Korsak told her I had the right to know.
My mother and I were meeting in Chicago for lunch after a medical conference at Chicago's Hilton Hotel.
My mother and I were having a pleasant lunch when detective Dawson approached us. " I see your beautiful daughter is in town again. I still don't know why you won't go out with me Dr. Isles. I am single and a hot catch just ask Amanda Harris right doll?"  "Dawson, I am having a pleasant lunch with my mother.  Please leave us alone. I already told you, I don't go out with men whose ego is bigger than their wallets and arrogant as a jerk you are I wouldn't waste my time."  Amanda just bit her lip like she wanted to laugh but refrained.
" Detective Dawson  you heard what my daughter asked of you. Please leave before I have hotel security throw you out of here. It wouldn't look good for the department if the headline read,  Chicago detective harassing well known Chief Forensics Medical Examiner from Boston now would it?"  Dawson left with Amanda to go eat their lunch. " Maura I am so sorry he does that. If Paddy finds out, Antonio is going to wish he never spoke with you and we both know that but he doesn't know. He will have to find out the hard way I guess.  How's work going on for you?" I responded to Hope's questions and we had a lovely lunch minus the rude interruption from Dawson.  I feel sorry for Amanda Harris. I was a guest speaker today and my friend Jane Rizzoli  and Susie Chang was coming to be part of the panel today. "Its nice to see two again Susie and Jane.  I wish you well today. "  Susie and I were glad to come out to a Chicago to discuss a high profile case that was solved with the expert lab technicians work along with the docs. We  all worked well together.  Hope introduced us as the speakers on the panel today. Doc started the discussion off with the evidence that we collected for the lab technicians to evaluate.  Susie begin discussing the evidence and a new test technique she had learned from China on her last visit for a training she and Ken Samuel's went to. Doc discussed the  outcome of the autopsy results which assisted my team in capturing the killer. I went over how we used the medical results to capture the killer. We did have a slight hick up. My gun jammed and Frost got shot. I was able to clear the jam and returned fire. Hope explains to the audience that we would be take questions and respond but each person was only giving one two minutes to ask their question of us and we had five minutes to respond.  Dawson was the second person to ask a question. "Detective Rizzoli - I heard your partner got shot. How come a veteran detective as yourself allow your weapon to lock up?"
" Detective Dawson I didn't allow my partner get shot.  Those are the risks of any law enforcement officer.  Being a veteran officer has nothing to do with when a gun is jammed. What matters is how quickly you can safely remove the jam and use your weapon.  As a veteran detective as yourself, the next time you what to ask an idiotic question think before you ask." Hope speaks up, "next question?" I was heated but kept my cool. I would get angry later on in my hotel room.  This conference was being telecasted to other medical staff and police departments that were not able to attend due to limited seating.  " I  would like to thank Boston team for coming out and doing an excellent job."  The attendees clapped for them except for me. I was far from getting under the Rizzoli's skin.  I still had all week to mess with her.
