\Zianna\

I don't know how, but I ended up on the kitchen counter with Pete in between my legs. Both his hands squeezed my thighs as he kissed me. We had been at it for about 15 minutes, and I didn't plan on stopping anytime soon. I loved the way he was so gentle yet so passionate. I knew my lips had to be a little swollen by now- but I didn't care.

My arms wrapped around his neck, and we rocked a little while in the kiss.

It felt so perfect, so sweet. This is something I wish I got in my marriage.

"You're so beautiful" He mumbled while in the kiss. I couldn't help but smile.

If I could, I would kiss him forever.

We were about 20 minutes into our make out session when we suddenly walked heard the front door open. We immediately stopped kissing and Pete backed away from me a little.

Colson walked in the room while looking down at his phone. He soon looked up to see us looking all suspicious.

".....hey guys?" He greeted with squinted eyes

We both mumbled heys while staying completely still.

"Why are you on the counter?" My best friend asked, walking over to me.

He picked me up and put my down on the floor, making Pete laugh a little.

"I uhm...we uh" I stuttered

He stood there with crossed arms, waiting for an explanation. I'm sure I looked extremely nervous.

"Pete and I were.....playing a game?" It came out sounding like more of a question than a statement.

"That's all you could come up with?" Pete laughed. I glared at him, raising my hand to flip him off.

"We were making out, dude" Pete confessed

Colson looked shocked, but that look of shock was soon replaced with a devious smirk.

"I wondered how long it would be until y'all finally did something" He spoke with his same crossed arms. Pete rolled his eyes playfully and left the room to go take a shower. Colson grabbed my hand and led me to the couch.

We sat down and he looked at me, his blue eyes staring at my brown.

"You like Pete?" He asked

I scoffed, "I barely know him, Col"

"That wasn't my question"

"Well, it's only been a day. You can't like someone in a day"

You can't, right? You can't like someone in a day. But I do admit that I felt something towards Pete. And that feeling stayed for the next 8 days. I had only 6 more days left away from work and I dreaded going back.

"What if he sees me when I show up for work? He's gonna definitely follow me home- then I'll lead him here and I don't want y'all to have to deal with that" I stressed. Pete listened to my thoughts and worries often, usually calming me down whenever I began to overthink.

"Colson hired extra security, and we'll make sure to get you in and out the building while making sure he doesn't get to you" Pete assured me

"What if he stakes out the place and follows me home?"

"First we'll get your car repainted and change your license plate. Make sure to wear sun glasses and keep your head down to and from the car" Pete instructed

I sighed. I hate we had to do all of this.

"How's the restraining order going?" He asked, rubbing my knee. His touch calmed my nerves a little.

"My lawyer still hadn't called me back. And it doesn't matter anyway! He's not gonna stay away from me"

"You can call the police" Pete suggested

"And what are they gonna do? They won't care, Pete"

He kissed my lips softly and stroked my chin. He was always so sweet, and I loved it.

"Colson will be with you 24/7. If you ever need me then call."

"I won't call you away from work" I said, shaking my head

"Yes you will! Colson and I are gonna do everything to protect you. If you ever have a problem you need to call one of us pronto"

He was being so nice. He was always so nice. It made me feel like he really cared.

"Thank you, Petey" I beamed. I kissed his lips one more time then laid my head on his shoulder.
