\Zianna\

"Ms. Heart! Ms. Heart over here!" I heard several photographers scream at me. I was on the mini red carpet for my opening. Colson was waiting for me by the food table-so I hurriedly finished taking pictures and walked over to him.

"Hey Col" I greeted with a yawn

"Hey Zi. Dude look around us, there's so many investors here."

"It is, maybe you can find someone to invest in your business"

"That's my plan, and speaking of investing- there's one of the most notable investors over there. I'll be back" He said before turning to walk away

"Wait, um, have you heard from Pete?" I asked with a hopeful tone of voice.

"Not since I left the house, but he should be here soon"

Colson walked over to the investor and began a conversation while I checked my phone for any missed messages. After responding to them all, I started to just fill a plate of food.

"The food looks lovely" I heard someone say behind me. Without really thinking about it, I agreed and continued to make my plate.

"Funny how, technically, I'm paying for all of this. You know, with how I basically started your business. Remember that?" I heard the person say. It didn't take me long to realize my soon-to-be ex husband was behind me. I made a mental note to fire whoever let him in.

"James, leave before I get security over here. Don't embarrass yourself" I said calmly

"Leave? But darling, the party has just begun"

He took a sip from the glass of wine he had

"How about we toast? Huh? How about we make a toast to us! Mr. and Mrs. Wilson" He drank the rest of the wine and threw the glass down, shattering it.

"James. You're drunk. How many glasses of wine did you have?"

"Not enough!" He laughed while almost stumbling over. I looked around and seen a few people staring.

"James, seriously, you're drunk and you need to leave. Okay? Go home James"

"Why? Are you gonna be there?"

I rolled my eyes and sighed

"You know Zianna, it's been kinda lonesome at home since you've been gone. How about you come on back? Let's stop with all this silly divorce mess"

"Where is security?" I asked myself, looking around and seeing no guards and even Colson not being nearby.

"James, we're done! Okay? Finished. You need to leave before I call the police"

"And tell them what? That your husband is at an event he paid for?"

"You didn't pay for this James. I paid for this, I own all this sh*t. Get that through your head"

He stared at me before bursting out laughing. I could still see people watching, so I whisper-yelled at him to stop.

"You know, my mama told me she came by your job the other day. She can be a little much at times, can't she?"

"Apple doesn't fall far from the tree" I shrugged.

I turned my back to him and started to hurriedly text Colson, telling him to get security.

"Zianna, baby don't be this way"

"Why are you here" I heard another voice say. This voice was one I wanted to hear- one I was looking forward to.

I turned around and saw Pete mugging at James.

"I don't think she wants you here" He said, stepping toward me and wrapping his arm around my waist.

James looked taken aback, but just scoffed.

"Ohhh, this is the guy you're leaving me for? Huh? Is this supposed to be the dude after me?"

I looked around for any indication of guards- soon seeing some follow Colson over to me.

James was escorted out right after that (Colson also made it his business to give him a good punch in the eye).

Once I was sure James was gone- I looked up at Pete and smiled.

"I'm so glad you made it"

"Wouldn't miss it for the world" He grinned.

I took his hand and continued with the regularly scheduled program- finally feeling at ease.
