I slipped on a dress that the chambermaids gave to me.

I did my hair into a bun, wrapping it tightly with a matching ribbon. I slipped on some golden, knee high boots. Once I was done getting ready, I sprayed on some Asgardian perfume. It smelled like flowers and vanilla. I peeked my head out my bedroom door. The hallway was empty.

"Hello Y/n." A voice behind me said. I gave out a yelp and little jump. I turned around and saw Loki.

"Oh jeez Louise!" I exclaimed. "You nearly gave me a heart attack!"

"Well I didn't mean too." He replied. I playfully nudged his elbow.

"Of course you didn't mean too." I said. "Are you ready to go, though?" I asked. He nodded. "Alrighty then." I said.

It was already time for the coronation. I wondered why they needed to have one if Loki was gonna be king until Odin woke up or Thor came home.

"Do you swear to guard the Nine Realms?" Frigga asked Loki.

"I swear." He responded. From where I was standing, I gave him a small smile and wink.

"Do you swear to guard the Nine Realms?"

"I swear." I fumbled with my fingers, trying so hard not to let my stomach grumble out loud. I was SO hungry.

"And do you swear to preserve the peace?" Frigga asked.

"I swear." Loki, once again responded.

"Do you swear to cast aside all selfish ambition and to pledge yourself only to the good of the Realms?" Frigga asked, for the final time.

"I swear."

"Then , on this day, I, Frigga All-mother, proclaim you king of Asgard." She said. Everyone there gave cheers. Most of them sounded happy. I looked for Sif, Volstagg, Fandral, and Hogun, but they were not in the crowd.

"Hey." Loki said, coming up to me. I smiled.

"Hey." I responded. "How's it going?" I asked.

"I have butterflies in my stomach." He responded.

"Don't be nervous." I said. "You just got crowned king of Asgard."

"Acting king." He corrected me. "Remember that this is temporary." I rolled my eyes.

"So are we gonna dance?" I asked. Loki blushed. "We are gonna dance, right?"

"I just wanted to show you something before we dance." He replied.

"Go ahead, show me." I said. He took my hand and led me outside, onto a balcony. I could see all of Asgard, the golden buildings shining. I looked up and I saw many glittering stars. They shined brighter than they would back on Earth. "It's so beautiful." I exclaimed.

"Just like you." Loki said. I blushed and smiled. He wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me close. The slow dance music could be heard. It was faintly playing a slow song. "Dance with me, will you?" Loki asked. I slowly nodded.

He smiled. I placed my left hand on his shoulder, and with my other hand, held his hand. Loki wrapped his left arm around my waist. We waltzed for what seemed like an eternity. "You look ravishingly gorgeous tonight." He said. I smiled.

"Thank  you. You don't look bad either." I said. Loki laughed.

"I love how you make me laugh." He said, before doing the unexpected. He leaned in and kissed me. It caught me by surprise. I slowly pulled away. I liked Loki, but we had just met and weren't ready for our first kiss just yet.

"Uh, I have to go." I said, pulling away completely. "I'll see you tomorrow. Goodnight Loki." I said before leaving. Tonight was one crazy night.
