It had been a day after Loki's death. The Queen and King allowed me to stay with them for a while. They let me continue to sleep in my room. Odin promised me that he would send me home the following day or whenever I was ready to go back. Frigga acted a lot like my mom, which I admit, was nice.
"If you need me Y/n, I'm here for you." She told me.
"Thank you." I replied. She left me alone in my room. I sighed and sat on my bed. I looked out at the balcony, watching the sun set. "I miss you so much Loki." I whispered. I kicked off my shoes and laid down on the bed. I stared up at the ceiling. The only thing I could hear was my breathing. I closed my eyes and fell asleep.
ER! ER! ER!!! My alarm went off and my hand lazily hit the off button. I got up and pulled on my jacket from last night. Jane had us going out every night out into the desert and when we came back, I would jump in the bed, taking only my jacket off. I could hear my cousin's footsteps outside my room.
"Hey Y/n, how's it goin'?" Darcy asked. She was holding her coffee mug and standing in the doorway.
"I'm still tired from last night." I yawned. Darcy chuckled and handed me my mug.
"Thanks." I slurped my decaf. I got up and slipped on my black converse. It was 12:30 in the afternoon once I finished breakfast. Erik went to go get batteries for our flashlights and tech.
"Hey Y/n," Jane said. "Would you mind heading for the desert later tonight alone?" She asked.
"What for?" I asked, taking another sip from my drink.
"I need someone to go out there to collect some data that only you can get." She explained. I nodded.
"As long as I get to take my emergency suitcase." I told her. She nodded and I went to get ready. I went over to the kitchen island and grabbed my book on astrophysics. The only problem was that I couldn't read the title.
"Having trouble?" I turned around and was face to face with Loki. The setting had gone from the kitchen to the Asgardian ballroom. "Care to dance?" He asked, holding out his hand. I smiled and took it. We danced to the waltz.
"How are you here?" I asked. "I swear I saw you die." Loki chuckled.
"Do you really believe that I am dead?" He asked. I shook my head. He chuckled again. He spinned me around.
"I saw you fall through space." I replied. Loki brought me close to him.
"Well like you, I survived the fall." He said. I smiled, but it soon faltered. "Is this a dream or is this real?" I asked.
"You'll see soon." He replied, leaning. His lips connected with mine. If this was a dream, I would never want to wake up again. I kissed back and I wrapped my arms around his neck. He caressed my cheek. Our lips moved in sync.
"I miss you so much." Loki said, pulling back. "I'll see you soon."
I woke up, sweating and panting. I looked around my dark room. It was empty like before.
"Don't worry Y/n," I told myself. "It was just a dream." I got up and walked over to the balcony. The stars were shining bright. I remembered the night Loki kissed me for the first time.
"It's so beautiful." I exclaimed.
"Just like you." Loki said. I blushed and smiled. He wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me close.
I laughed at the memory. The only thing I regret is not staying long with Loki or even telling him I love him.
*Timeskip brought to you by "I Think I'm In Love"*
I stood at the edge of the broken, Bifrost bridge. I had to sneak out because I didn't want to tell Frigga, or Odin my plan. The waterfall rushing was peaceful in my opinion. I took a deep breath.
"Here I go." I replied. I jumped off the bridge. I felt the air rushing in my face.
"I hope you catch me when I fall!" I closed my eyes as I fell. There was a moment where I couldn't breathe and all I felt was pain.
"Y/n, wake up."
I opened up my eyes. It was bright, like really bright. I lifted my head up and looked around my surroundings. I was standing on a fully restored Rainbow bridge. Loki was standing across from me.
"Loki?" I asked. He smiled. "Is it really you?"
"Yes, it's me." He replied. My eyes welled up with tears. I rushed up to him. I hugged him, but I went right through him.
I woke up in the real world this time. It was night where I was. I looked around and pinched myself.
"Okay, this is real." I told myself. "Just exactly where am I?" I stood up and dusted myself off. I walked in the northern direction since it felt like the logical choice. It was only about twenty minutes when the town of Punte Antiguo. I smiled. I picked up the pace, running off for Smith's Motors.
"Y/n?" Jane asked, looking up from some old files when I ran in. Darcy dropped whatever she was doing and squeezed me tight.
"Hey guys." I said. "It's been a while, hasn't it?"
