[Y/N POV]
Diana: It is a shame that you won't be able to take part in the race. You actually would be a hard opponent to come up against with the skills you have exhibited in class.
Y/N: I thank you for the compliment and appreciate that you think that.
Hannah: I don't understand how Akko can compete and you can't. She can't even fly a broom.
I had finally met Diana's two roommates after me and Amanda got back from town yesterday. They seemed pretty outgoing and friendly but in reality they are just two massive suck-ups to Diana. I turn a blind eye to it as I don't really care what they think of me.
Y/N: I'm sure she tries her best.
Barbara: Why do you even stick up for her? You come from a family with a legendary magic background!
Y/N: Because I don't like to judge people on their ability and judge them on how much of a nice person they are. If you get past all this not too good at magic stuff then you'll find that Akko is a nice person to be around!
Diana: She is very childish though. Her attitude is one of the many things that weighs her down here.
Y/N: I just let her be her. I don't worry about it too much.
Diana: That seems a bit too laidback.
Y/N: Nah its not being laidback, its me not forcing Akko to be something she might not want to be. If she wants to be bright and bubbly and maybe cause a little mischief every now and again then that's fine.
Hannah: Not when they don't follow the rules!
Diana: I thought you of all people would understand Y/N.
I turn to face Diana.
Y/N: I didn't choose to do this. I didn't even want to learn magic. But over time I guess I got so used to it that I just adapted.
Diana: Oh your parents forced you? I didn't know...
Y/N: Because I didn't tell you! I wish I didn't have to do all this, but coming Luna Nova might have just changed my mind. You all seem like nice people, apart from this whole 'making fun of Akko' thing. I hope that we do continue to get along.
I couldn't believe that I was actually saying all of this. This place really had changed me.
Diana: Me too. And it's good to see you mellowing down a little.
I nod my head. I would still be pulling a few pranks here and there as I would never lose that side of me, but I couldn't deny that I felt more comfortable at a witch school than warlock school.
Y/N: Well good luck in the race then. I'll see you around.
Hannah: See ya!
Barbara: Bye Y/N!
I wave them off and walk off to try and find Amanda or just someone that I could talk to before the race started. I did eventually find Amanda who seemed glad to see me.
Amanda: There you are! I was hoping to see you before the race today! How are you feeling?
Y/N: Fine. Why do you ask?
Amanda: Oh nothing, it's just that you did seem a bit upset yesterday and I was just checking on you. Why is there a problem with that?
I was a little taken aback by that and Amanda's expression softened.
Amanda: S-sorry. I didn't mean to snap like that. I'm just not used to being the one to ask questions like that.
Y/N: Don't worry about it. I will admit that I'm feeling things that I thought I wouldn't when I was told I was coming here.
