Chapter 9: I Love You Dumbass!

[Amanda POV]

Amanda: What do you think I should do then?

Akko: I'd say give yourself some time to properly think about it! I'm not really an expert in all of this, but you do sound as if you're not sure.

I wasn't sure. Why the hell would he like someone like me? He's from this famous magic family and me? Well I'm just no one compared to him.

I just really hope that over time he doesn't turn into something like Diana is. Stuck up and just an unpleasant person to be around. That's why I liked him. Because he wasn't like that.

Akko: I never imagined that I would see you like this Amanda!

Amanda: What's that supposed to mean?

Akko: All I'm saying is, I didn't expect to see you coming to us for advice! You seem like such a confident person! I would have thought you'd have the confidence to just do it.

Amanda: Yeah I would, but I don't want to destroy my friendship with him! He's so much like me and I wanna do so much with him!

Lotte: I-I'm sure he won't think any less of you Amanda! He's happy to be friends with us! He said that when we met him! 

Sucy: Surely he won't want to push away someone who actually likes to be his friend.

Amanda: Yeah. I might be overthinking all of this.

He might have been rebellious when he joined and I hope he still is. But I knew that he wouldn't be a prick about it and just completely ghost me.

Amanda: I do like him. And no matter what, I am going to go out with him!

The whole business in town and him opening up to me should have been a huge indicator of how much he really trusts me.

He needed me...

Lotte: One last bit of advice...

I look at Lotte.

Lotte: Make sure to treat him well! Hearing him open up shows what he really is like on the inside.

Amanda: I-I'll make sure of it.

There came a knock at the door and Akko called out. When it opened Y/N peeked his head in and smiled.

Y/N: Can I come in?

Amanda: Yep!

I sounded a bit too eager, especially since this wasn't actually my room but he walked in regardless.

Y/N: Cool. I just wanted to find you all. Unlucky by the way Akko. I was rooting for you!

Akko: Thanks Y/N! Its a bit of a bummer that I didn't win, but I still am glad that I got to fly on a broom!

Y/N: Its a step in the right direction.

Y/N sat down on the bed next to me. He looks at me and nods head.

Y/N: You alright Amanda?

Amanda: M-me? Y-yeah I'm fine!

Y/N: Good...

He looks away at the floor. I started to wonder whether he shared the same feelings for me too. I hope that he does.

Lotte: Where is the broom Y/N?

Y/N: Hmm? Oh its flying around outside. No point in keeping it cooped up in here when it has had years in a cage.

Amanda: I did that broom a favour and it STILL betrayed me!

Y/N: I'm sure deep down it appreciates it! It has a personality so I'm guessing it has feelings too!

He might be right, no matter how dumb that sounds! Sure he might seem stupid at first glance, but he really wasn't. I don't know why I still think that!
