A little More...

Not As Expected

Sulayman Shah entered into their yurt. He smiled seeing that all his family members and invitees are already present  there.

He sat down on his seat. Everyone greeted him and he nodded. He broke a bread into two pieces and passed one to Hayme Ana ( who was seated on his left side ) and one to Gundogdu ( who was in his right).

They broke their pieces and passed them to person next to them until everyone got some.

They began eating their food in silence. Ertugrul was beside Gundogdu and Halime was seated beside Hayme Ana and Selcan Hatun. Gokçe was next to Selcan.

There was a heavy tension in the yurt but everyone seemed to ignore it and ate their food in silence ( meanwhile passing wierd looks to each other.)

Selcan was looking at Halime. Now she has invaded our family dinner. This girl is more wicked than I give her credit but don't worry I will do something about this girl. I should hurry getting rid of her before she becomes a bigger pain in my head. She looked towards Sulayman Shah. Just why he called us together for dinner again. He only do this when their is something especial to tell. And why did he invited Halime. Oh God , I hope it's not what I am thinking.

Gokçe was looking at Ertugrul ( while smiling like a fool). Ertugrul, I have waited a long for this day. I think Sulayman Shah will officially announce our wedding day tonight. I will soon become your wife. She noticed Ertugrul too is constantly looking something or someone. When she followed his line of gaze ,her smile quickly faded on seeing Halime's face. So your eyes will never notice me. All that you care is this Halime. Just what she has done to you.

Ertugrul smiled when Halime lifted her gaze to see him. I don't know what will happen today. But I believe in Allah that he will decide the best for us.

Hayme Ana looked towards her sons and couldn't help but frowned. She could sense the tension between them. She quickly recoverd and focused on her food when Gundogdu looked at her.

Gundogdu sighed as he put back his bowl of rice. From past few days things had really eased. I hope now everything will turn out good for our tribe and we can all live in peace.

Selcan couldn't help but looked at Gundogdu. She was releaved that he was fine. She felt slightly guilty over her actions. Because of her revenge she has really put her husband's life in danger.

Everyone remained silent until Sulayman Shah decided to break the ice.

Sulayman Shah (facing Gundogdu):" You were gone with Sençer? What happened there?"

Gundogdu nodded:" We had taken another route for our journey so that Crusaders didn't attack us but somehow they knew of our plans and they attacked us."

Selcan lowered her head out of shame. She knew she disclosed that secret.
Hayme Ana gasped:" Hun! Are you Ok my son?"

Gundogdu nodded:" Yes, I am. Alhamdulillah ( All praises is for Allah) we defeated them."

Hayme Ana and Selcan sighed and thanked Allah.

Gundogdu looked at Ertugrul:" But the thing that is bugging me is the fact that Turgut was with them. I thought he was prisoner but he was fighting on their side."

Ertugrul interrupted:" But how is that possible. Why didn't you told me?"

Gundogdu (slightly pissed off):" Because my brother you were too busy in your own world that you neglected the problems of our people. You hardly acknowledged my return."

Ertugrul was about to say something when Sulayman Shah interrupted.

Sulayman Shah:" This is no place to argue. Don't forget your manners sons.  It's certainly shocking to know that about Turgut. Ertugrul, he is your alp so I give you the responsibility to investigate this matter."

Ertugrul nodded.
Sulayman Shah:" Beside these problems Allah has surely granted us ease. I think Al Aziz is not gonna attack us. We should also ponder on other issues as well."

Selcan added excitedly :" Yes you are right baba. Now we can think of Ertugrul's and Gokçe's marriage. I think we should decide the date tonight."

Halime stopped eating as soon as she heard this and looked towards Sulayman Shah.

Sulayman Shah:" I have given you my word that Gokçe will marry to my son, Ertugrul and the whole Anatolia knows that Turks don't back away from their words. But we will not decide a date before the marriage of Turgut and Aykiz. They waited a lot ,they deserve this."

Selcan:" But he is in prison. Only Allah knows what he is up to. We should not forget what Gundogdu has told us about him."

Sulayman Shah:" We can't accused someone without knowing the full truth. I have told Ertugrul to handle this. We will see what happen and then decide."

Meanwhile ,Abdurrahman entered the yurt.

Abdurrahman:" Bey, Hafsin Pasha wants to see you urgently."

Ertugrul looked at Sulayman Shah: "Now?"

Sulayman Shah nodded:" Send him here Abdurrahman."

Hafsin Pasha entered and greeted every one.
Sulayman Shah :" Come and have a seat with us."

Hafsin:" No Sulayman Shah. Thanks a lot but I brought a news for you and Prince Yigit is with me."

Halime' s face lit up hearing this:" My brother. Where is he right now Hafsin Pasha?"

Hafsin:" I have a important thing to tell you Halime Sultan. Your Father is no more. He passed away." He lowered his gaze.

Tears began to form in Halime's eyes as soon as these words entered her ears. Her Father is no more? How...? I am an orphan now. No...

She got up and left the yurt crying.

Ertugrul was shocked hearing this. That's not what he expected.
He quickly got up and followed Halime.
