I wasn't planning to go into her dream at all. But as she screamed and talked in her sleep I couldn't help it. She mentioned not being able to remember certain memories and I wanted to help.

I couldn't have ever imagined the things I saw. She was the daughter of Lilith and Adam. None of us even knew that Adam had died.

"Why would you invade my privacy like that?" She asked in a hurt voice.

"I'm sorry, Queen. I was worried."

She tore her eyes away from me and buried her face into her hands as she sobbed. She probably didn't want to be anywhere near me after what I did but I couldn't just watch her cry.

I reached out to her and pulled her to me and contrary to what I believed she would do, she let me. Instead of continuing to cry like I believed she would, she wiped her tears and took shaky breaths as she lay on me.

"They killed my dad," she said softly.

"Hey, we'll figure everything out, okay?" I rubbed her back. "Just trust me." I felt her nod against me and after hearing her heart return to its steady rate, I pulled away and looked down at her. "I umm...I need to tell you something."

"What?"

"I know your mother...your birth mother."

Her head snapped up to me and she looked at me with hesitant curiosity. "How?" I couldn't think of any way to tell her. I didn't even know how she'd respond. When I remained quiet she took my hand. "Who is she, Syn?"

"That was Lilith, Queen."

She looked at me with an expression I couldn't decipher and shook her head. "It can't be."

"It was." I said. "She raised me for a small portion of my life, Queen."

"That's why she saved me?" She croaked.

I closed my eyes and ran my hand through my hair. "I think so. But you never know with Lilith."

"You think she might not be my mother?"

"No, she's definitely your mother. I can see the resemblance." I replied. I don't know how I didn't notice it before, I suppose since maybe I wasn't looking for it, I didn't see it. "I'm just saying I don't know her reasons for bringing you back."

She looked down at her hands and shook her head. "I thought she was with your father."

"They were off and on. They never lasted for more than a month at a time. But the timing makes sense. She left my father with no words when I was five. It's possible she was pregnant with you."

When my father found out about this I knew he was going to be livid. Lilith broke his heart, he wouldn't be pleased to see that it was for his enemy.

Queen wrapped her arms around her legs and closed her eyes. "I killed so many people."
