I smiled as I snuggled into Caspian's arms and let out a sigh of relief. The past few weeks he's been busy with work and I missed him more than I would have liked. I would never let him know that though since he was such a cocky dick.
Xavier stepped out of the dressing room that we rented out in a navy suit. "How's this one?"
"It looks good," I said with a shy smile.
He winked at me and turned to Caspian who observed him. After a few moments, he sighed and shook his head. "I hate it."
"This is the sixth one you've hated, Caspian," Xavier complained as he turned to look at the mirror. We were helping him get ready for the dinner tomorrow but Caspian wasn't making it easy.
He wouldn't say it but I think the true reason he couldn't choose a suit was that he didn't want Xavier leaving. I didn't want him to either but we'd see him eventually. We've been so used to having him in our bed every morning that the soon empty place in the mattress would leave a lingering sting.
"I think he just prefers you naked," I teased.
Cas flicked me on my arm and I burst out into giggles. I loved teasing him around Xavier, I'd never seen him get so nervous around anyone. Not even me. There was just something about Xavier that turned us into babbling fools that stumbled over our words.
One of the staff walked in again for almost the fifth time and I rolled my eyes. It was obvious that she had a liking to Xavier and I was a teeny bit jealous.
"I think this one would look good on you," she said seductively as she passed him a grey blazer with a white button-up.
"Ahhh," he said with a smile as he took it from her. "I'll try it on."
She clasped her hands together and smiled as he turned back to the dressing room. Caspian and I watched her watch him with a bitten lip and hungry eyes.
I rolled my eyes and sat up, moving from under Caspian's hold. He gave me an amused look and I flipped him off. He knew exactly how I was feeling. Xavier and I had grown past close recently and my feelings for him were growing. I didn't appreciate some girl blatantly flirting with him.
She turned to us and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. She walked towards us until she was a few feet away and glanced back to the dressing room Xavier occupied. "Is your friend single?" She asked.
"Umm," I said. Technically he was single since we hadn't made it official, but we wanted to. We just didn't know how Xavier felt about it. Things were casual and we didn't want to scare him away.
Before I could give her an answer, Xavier walked out and held his arms out. "Well?"
"It looks amazing!" The woman said. I rolled my eyes again and crossed my arms. Pissed was an understatement to how I felt right now.
