"Norman-" Emma was taken back by the sight before her. All of the royals' body laying on the floor, blood pooling around them.

"Emma, Ray.." Norman turned to them.

"I'm so glad you both made it back unharmed." Norman said. "It's a shame though, you were just a little bit too late."

Ray cursed under his breath. "Looks like you couldn't make it in time, Emma." Norman said, fully turning to them.

"(Y/N)?" His eyes landed on her. "Why is she shaking?"

"Athena's having it!" Vincent exclaimed. "Barbara hand me your spare."

The injured brunette handed her medicines to Vincent. Immediately, they huddled around (Y/N) who was being carried by Ray. With the lack of water, (Y/N) had a trouble on swallowing the tablets. Her immense shaking wasn't helping either. She almost choked as she drank the last one.

Ray noticed how she gripped tightly onto his arm. "She's going to be okay, right?" He asked Vincent.

"Yes, but she's still it will be back." Vincent said.

"She's calmed down now, let's hurry up and go to the hideout. Since all of them have been killed.." Norman looked back at the bodies on the floor.

(Y/N) slowly gained consciousness. Ray noticed it as she fluttered her eyes open. Ray was relieved as she slowly got up from his arms. "The girl- I couldn't kill her-"

Her eyes darted at the bodies on the floor. She was surprised as she almost stumbled, but Ray had caught her before that happened.

"It's fine, (Y/N)." Norman said. "Rest at ease."

"As you can see, they killed each other. They're all dead now. The queen, the nobles, the gilan clan. All of them." Norman said.

"Norman! I made a promise. Everybody can escape to the human world!" Emma exclaimed.

"You don't have to fight anymore." Emma smiled. "Right now, let's stop the extinction."

Norman's gaze turned down to the floor. "It's already too late, Emma. It's impossible now."

"The monarchy has collapsed. A monarchy that lasted for a thousands of years. Governance by the demons is impossible, peace is impossible for them."

"Iverk was the last one. I killed him myself."

"We've put a lethal fissure in the demon society of this world. A fissure they cannot get back from." Norman lift his hand. "The only thing left to do now is to shatter it."

"We have no choice but to wipe them out. So don't get in the way." Norman coldly said.

And as expected of Emma, she refuses. "No way!"

"Huh?" Vincent, Cislo, and Barbara turned to the persistent girl.

"I don't get the point of war and slaughter! I don't want to wipe them out. There's no way I'm going to let you be more of a murderer!" Emma said.

"Emma.." Norman grew impatient.

"We'll find a way. It'll be tough, but let's think through it! No matter how hard it gets, we are never too late!"

"You know? I saw how (Y/N) hesitated on killing Mujika." Emma said. "That means there is still some sympathy in her."

"I've decided. I won't let you sacrifice yourself again. I won't let you do things alone." Emma said.
