i hope this doesn't seem rushed i've been trying to include mentions of this progression through the timeskips :] no more after this chap,, if so it's more of just a few days mostly?

The other day, a bunch of them streamed Jackbox. They all made their usual jokes; pandering, fake making fun of each other, Dream and George flirting. Dream made a joke about stealing George's heart, which meant nothing. It was just a joke that they always do. However, Dream cannot stop thinking about it. He can't stop thinking about it because instead of shoving it off like George usually does, George played along. He said, "I don't know, I don't know" about if it was working, which is barely anything, but Dream cannot get it out of his head.

Yesterday, Dream and George (and Sapnap and Badboyhalo) did a Dream alt stream where they played geoguesser. Nothing mega happened, but at one point Sapnap said, "Go with the United Kingdom because someone you love lives there." Of course, Sapnap's right, he does love someone there, and of course, it's George. This time, though, it felt more. Dream doesn't understand what's going on, but recently he's found himself analyzing George's words and actions and constantly thinking and replaying anything that mentions George. He doesn't know what it means, but it can't be good.

Today, they streamed on George's alt. George played CS:GO while Dream and Sapnap talked to him. Sapnap had joined at the beginning, but Dream was watching George's stream and joined a little less than 30 minutes into it. Once he joined, him and Sapnap bickered about Dream not knowing Sapnap was streaming because he was watching George's stream. Sapnap joked and said that he was taking Patches and leaving, which just made them bicker more.

The stream was going well; they were all cutting up and laughing and making jokes. Then, things took a turn. Dream has tried to ignore all of his thoughts, but he still somehow gets trapped by George. Of course, chat would talk about girlfriends and dating. What Dream didn't expect was George's words of "Dream, should we just tell them?" It caught him off guard, but he laughed and continued joking, but in his mind he could not stop thinking.

He read their texts of them saying they could have sex and George agreeing, which once again, was just them being themselves. However, Dream cannot stop analyzing it. Why did George agree? Every other time he'd just brush it off, tell Dream to stop. Why, now, is he choosing to let it all happen? Most importantly, why is Dream so focused on it?

There were so many moments that Dream can not stop thinking about. George writing DNF on the wall, them bickering about George being in his hating dream arc, George saying they could get married for him to move to the US and for other reasons, and so much more. Dream sighs as he falls onto his back on his bed. He's spent hours scrolling through Twitter and TikTok, rewatching clips of these DNF moments and reading everyone's ideas and jokes about the line thinning.

He even saw many tweets talking about the one thing he can't wrap his mind around: George playing along. Dream is in the same fucking boat as the viewers. He doesn't know what is going on with him and George, he doesn't know if things are changing. He can't comprehend why George is playing along. The line is thinning for himself, and there never even has been a line established for them.

Dream sighs sharply as he tugs at his blonde strands of hair.
"What the fuck is going on?" he thinks. Did something change? Did it change for him? For George? For the both of them?

Dream scrolls through Twitter again, this time searching for clips and edits of George. He stalks the George pictures hourly account, tags, mentions; anything he can get his hands on. He goes to TikTok and does the same. He finds many edits there; one's that are cute, sexual, and vibey.

He finds himself entranced by the clips out together. He watches them repeatedly and paused every now and then. He studies each clip, focusing on everything about George. He eyes his lips, jaw, the shape of his nose, and even the way his eyelashes flutter. Dream takes a deep breath, what the fuck are you doing to me, George?
