Sapnap paces the entrance to the house as he tries to steady his breathing. He stares at the front door and checks his phone for the time, then runs up the stairs. "Dream?" he questions, pushing open Dream's bedroom door. Dream rolls over in his bed to face Sapnap, his face pale and puffy. Sapnap furrows his eyebrows, but doesn't press on it, "Are you still taking me to the airport?"
Dream's eyes widen as he sits up in bed, "Yeah- Yeah, I am. Of course!" His eyes shift between the messy room and the mirror to where he can see himself in before he gets up and heads to the bathroom. Sapnap frowns, knowing something is very wrong.
He steps out of Dream's doorway and heads to the bathroom down the hall. He knocks lightly on the white wooden door and waits. "Yeah?" Dream questions, voice hoarse. Sapnap leans against the wall beside the door, "Hey, I think we need to talk." He hears the faucet turn on for a moment, "What do we need to talk about?" Sapnap sighs, "You aren't talking to me, especially now when something's happened."
The bathroom door opens, spreading light across the hall. Sapnap steps to the door to look at Dream. His face has a little more color now, and he has water splashed across his face as to try and get rid of the puffiness. Sapnap frowns, "Dream, what happened?" Dream bites his lip and lets out a deep breath. He runs a hand through his blond hair like he always does when he's stressed or frustrated. "I- I told George, well, on accident" he admits.
Sapnap's eyes widen and his voice rises in excitement, "How'd it go?" Dream glances down at the tile floor and squeezes his eyes shut, "The last time we spoke was when we were doing lore. Before that, it was when I confessed my feelings for him, if that tells you anything." Sapnap's face falls, "Wait, what? He isn't talking to you? That doesn't make any sense-" Dream nods his head and shrugs, "It should seeing as that's exactly what's happening right now"
Sapnap steps out of the hall and reaches for his phone in his pocket, "But still- Let me speak to him, one second." Dream sighs and walks to his room to change. Sapnap checks the time and then calls George. He has to call a second time for George to finally answer with a, "What?" He takes a deep breath and shuffles on his feet, "Why aren't you talking to Dream? What about-" George cuts him off, "Is he around?" Sapnap watches as Dream steps out of his room with a cleaner shirt, but the same sweatpants.
"No, he isn't around" he answers, seeing as Dream's face falls as he walks back to the bathroom that's only 15 feet away from his bedroom and 10 away from Sapnap. "I didn't want him to hear you saying that out loud. I need time, Sapnap" George states, letting out a deep exhale. Sapnap furrows his eyebrows, "George, that doesn't mean you ignore the man- Start fucking talking to him again, he's a wreck" He hears Dream inhale sharply.
"Sapnap, I need time!" George argues, raising his voice. Sapnap rolls his eyes though George can't see it, "Time isn't going to help you learn anything. It's just going to teach you how to get used to life without him." Sapnap hears a loud thud once his sentence ends, and it isn't from George's end. His alarm starts to blare to tell him it's time to go to the airport, so he quickly shuts that off then places the phone back to his ear. "George?" he asks, then he finally makes eye contact with Dream as he walks closer to him. "I'm here" George answers, but Sapnap ignores him as he lets out a gasp.
"Holy shit-" he whispers, staring at Dream who's clutching his knuckles. "What?" George questions. Sapnap blinks and mutters out a quick response, "I'll call you back later. Dream just punched his hand through a wall." Then, the phone call ends.
"Dream, what the fuck?" Sapnap questions, rushing over and grasping his hand gently. "I heard what you said, it sent something off in me" Dream answers nonchalantly, wincing as Sapnap applies a wet washcloth onto the cuts of his knuckles. "Fuck, Dream, we have to get to the airport so I don't miss my flight. What if your hand is broken or sprained or something?" Sapnap questions, rambling out words. He's way more worried about this than Dream is.
Dream turns and grabs an emergency ace bandage from the cabinet above the bathroom sink. He wraps it around his arm, lacing it through his finger and thumb, then smiles at Sapnap. "Let's go, you can't be late to meet Karl" he states, then moves past Sapnap. "You're fucking insane" Sapnap says breathlessly, but he follows him down the stairs, grabs his bags, and walks out the front door.
