Karl took me home after our unexpected lunch date and left me lingering for his presence and touch.

I walked into my room around 5 pm and smelt and unfamiliar scent...

I looked around, noticing boxes upon boxes of some sort of supplies.

I heard ruffling in my bedroom.

"WHOS THERE" I yelled, grabbing a kitchen knife and steadily walking toward my room.

Soon after, out came a tiny puppy. I set the kitchen knife back on the counter. Whew

"OH MY GOD" i screamed in cuteness. It was so small!!

"are you from karl" i said in a tiny voice, asking the puppy swarmed my face with kisses.

Before I could collect my thoughts, out came Karol.

"OH MY GOD TWO PUPPIES???" I laughed, so excited to see my best friend.
"GIRL IM SO CONFUSED WHATS HAPPENING AH" I screamed jumping up and down beside her.

"SURPRISEEEE" Karol screamed. My aunt came around the corner to see what was going on.

"Jesus karol you guys scared me! I hard screaming coming from here I was worried she was in danger" Clarissa said, leaning on my door frame.

"Karl flew me out and bought you a little puppy" she laughed, looking at the adorable tiny little thing wagging its tail beside her.
"He gave me directions when I landed. A guy named Tareq picked me up and afterwards we picked up a puppy he bought for you, as well as all of the supplies"

I couldn't believe what i was hearing and seeing.

Clarissa heard a knock behind her, and opened the door.

Of course, there stood Karl.

I ran to Karl and jumped on him.
"You're the best person i've ever met" I said softly, only wanting him to hear. He wrapped his arms around me tightly before laughing into the crook of my neck.

The puppy started to jump on Karl, so he let me down.

"It's a girl dog" He said, picking her up and carrying her back inside before closing the door behind us.

I felt so much adrenaline and excitement in this moment. This was all such a surprise.

I ran back over to Karol and tackled her down onto my couch.

"I missed you so much" I exclaimed, to which she returned the excitement.

"Karl this is the sweetest thing you've ever done" Clarissa whispered to Karl, who was stood next to her.

"I love her clarissa" He paused to look at kylie, then back to clarissa "i couldn't figure out how else to tell her besides this" he smiled warmly at kylie's aunt, who held a dear and accepting expression

"I know she loves you too" clarissa whispered, looking back over to kylie as well. Karl's face lightened like never before.

Kylie's POV

I stood up from the couch and walked over to Karl to take the puppy.

"She's so cute! I want to name her maple since she's a beautiful brown color" I said, excitement taking over my entire body.

"I'm so glad you love her." Karl said, walking over to Karol and giving her a side hug as a welcome to NC.

Karl walked back over to me as Clarissa sat down on the couch with Karol.

He wrapped his arm around my waist and snuggled the puppy with me

"I'm surrounded by the people I love. This is the best day ever" I exclaimed

"The people you love, huh?" Karl whispered into my ear. I looked at him with a reassuring face. I wanted him to know at this point. no one has ever done something like this for me. I couldn't be any happier. I smiled warmly and kissed him.

Karl gave me a warm expression, as if he wanted me to know he loves me too. Neither of us needed to say it, we both knew. Our actions toward each other speaked largely louder than any words could ever express.

Karl, Kylie, Karol, and Clarissa all worked together to set up all of the equipment for Kylie's new puppy. Kylie and Karol laughed tremendously hard at any joke they shared, and Karl admired that. Clarissa got to know Karl a little bit more, and he told her all of the events that happened today. Clarissa couldn't be more accepting of Karl than she is now.

Kylie, was the happiest she'd been in a year.

"Clarissa, mind taking me around NC so i can see the city?" Karol asked Clarissa, soon after joining my eyes to send me a wink. I laughed subtly

Clarissa happily obliged and off they went to explore our city. This gave me time to show Karl how much I appreciated this.

"So a puppy? and my best friend? and a surprise lunch date?" I stared at Karl, holding my new puppy in his hands.

"I didn't know how else to show you that I loved you" Karl smiled back at me, then back at the puppy

The words bounced around in my head. 'I love you, I love you, I love you' is all I heard for a moment. I couldn't express my gratitude towards him in way he has toward me, and I thought of ways to pay him back for all of this.

"You've shown me everything i need to know" I watched Karl put Maple down and I walked over to him, leaving him breathless with the best kiss I could make up in a short amount of time.

"I want to take a trip to Santa Monica and go to the beach. I want you to come, all expenses paid by me." I smiled "I planned to go in a couple of weeks" I presented, waiting to hear a yes from his amazingly curated lips.

"I'd love to Ky" He smiled sheepishly at my remarks, causing my heart to flutter

I kissed him passionately, pushing past any insecurities about our fight the night before. I swiftly thought about how I'd never been treated quite as well as he treated me. I rushed past these thoughts as Karl lifted me from the contact of my hard wood floor and rushed over to my bed. Maple soon followed, causing us to break up our antics

I was happy.

this is honestly just a filler chapter... so short guys sorry!!

go drink water and eat some food! you deserve it i'm so proud of you ❤️
