Author's note: I deeply apologize that I haven't been writing much as of late: I've been having a few ups & downs (thankfully the downs have been lowering), and even then, I've been having much more trouble coming up with new scenarios, which is probably why this one isn't as long and as good as the previous ones. Even then, I thank you for taking the time to read this, and hope you agree that Ashe is a precious cinnamon roll who must be protected at all costs, even from evil fish.

Silver hair shined brightly under the sunlight, green eyes fixed on the blue waters of the pond. Ashe Ubert, a commoner who was adopted by a lord known as Lonato, was sitting on the edge of the wooden bridge, feet dangling off of said bridge. Wearing a smile that is brighter than even the sunlight itself and with a fishing rod in his hands, he waits patiently for a fish to fall for his bait. He hasn't had any luck so far, no fish would come to him, partly thanks to Alois' loud booming voice in the background scaring them all off. Even then, Ashe was determined to catch some fish, especially since he already planned out what he was gonna make once it was his turn on kitchen duty. He looked down, to the calm water reflecting the warm sunlight and his own reflection. He stared at himself for a good while, recalling the life he had before he arrived to Garreg Mach Monastery. Remembering his life before meeting his adoptive father.
. . . Sploosh!
He felt the fishing rod being tugged at, signalling that a fish was finally falling for the bait. This made him snap out of his thoughts to focus on catching the fish, but said fish acted quicker than Ashe could react: The fishing rod went flying out of his hands and into the pond. Ashe stared at the pond in shock, until he heard what sounded like a snort. He turned his head to look over his shoulder, and saw that it was Seteth.
"My apologies, Ashe. I didn't mean to snort, but you really should pay closer attention to the rod, or that can happen. You're lucky you didn't fly into the pond with the rod"
Ashe gulped, already feeling embarrased that Seteth, of all people, saw the events that had just transpired.
"I-I'm so sorry, Seteth. It's just— It's so peaceful here, that I couldn't help but remember the past. I used to go fishing with my siblings back at home..."
"It is quite alright, you'd be surprised by how strong the fish are. Professor Byleth even fell into the pond once trying to catch a fish"
"W-wait, really!? The Professor???"
Ashe was in disbelief. Byleth is well-known for being a skilled mercenary and a caring, talented professor. For them, of all people, to wind up struggling to swim out of a pond, because of a fish of all things...
Ashe shook his head, feeling bad for finding such a thought silly."Pardon me, Ashe, but I'm afraid I must be on my way now. Do not worry about the rod; We'll have someone else get it for you. Good day"
Seteth spoke, bowing slightly to Ashe and walked away. Ashe turned to look at the pond again, recalling how he had failed to catch a single fish. He sighed: This was not how he wanted his afternoon to go, but what can you do when the evil fish steal your rod away from you, stopping you from slaying them like a great knight would with an evildoer? Use a different recipe. Surely Dedue will be willing to help him out with this task, right?
