[Ridan 25, 0100 A.R., Ventrion]

[Tontrian Hinterlands, Kingdom of Ousanus]

[Throndrheim]

"You have to admit, the King has the balls to have us hunt it down," Arash44 said as their raiding party reached the Hinterlands. It was here that the usually cloudy climate that was common in most places within Throndrheim was then replaced with a place filled with constant rain and thunderstorms effectively making the Thunderbird's power even stronger.

"But why?" SolarHunter asked in a low voice, he was surprised truth be told. He had expected he just wanted to keep such a creature as a pet but to kill such a majestic creature?

No, SolarHunter immediately thought. I know what he wants.

Nio's greed is unending, he wanted to prove himself to be the strongest. This was probably why he adopted the surname of Raidrus, he wanted to become stronger to the point where he wanted to surpass the Stormbringer Saint himself. And to further cement his power he'll kill a creature that is symbolic to the Stormbringer.

He looked around keeping track of their reactions, Carin had a conflicted look on her face as if pondering is it worth killing such a creature, Arash had a more confused look as if wondering killing such a creature is possible, 4-Gren's, on the other hand, had a look of terror on his face that it surprised him.

SolarHunter glanced at his sleeve where he had carved the runes. He knew what he needed to do.

"Can I...help in killing it?" SolarHunter offered, the Soldiers were surprised by his response.

"You bastard I'll kill you!" 4-Gren shouted as he was quickly held back by Carin and Arash.

"Are you sure you're up for it?" Nio said looking at him, it was a fair response. His health had reached a critical level thanks to the use of his blood runes.

"I can manage," he said pulling out an elixir and drank it helping him slightly recover. "Plus I know of a spell which can help?"

"Well, why didn't you say so, go on ahead!" Nio said joyfully as SolarHunter pulled his Carving knife.

"You even try and lay a heavy hand on it I'll–"

His threats were cut short as he was quickly knocked out by one of the shield bashes by one of the Soldiers.

"If he utters one more word slit his throat," Nio said as one of the Soldiers nodded as they separated him, Carin and Arash. The Thunderbird noticed him walk towards him and began to struggle in its restraints, he placed a hand on the Barrier.

"I'm sorry for doing this," He said as his Mana Circuits swirled around his hand and–

Boom!

The entire camp was blasted by an Explosion made of Wind and Lightning sending many of the Soldiers, Nio and the other Marked Ones present sent back. SolarHunter himself was deafened by the explosion but to his luck managed to shatter the Barrier and threw his last health potion at the Thunderbird as it slowly rose and was able to regain its ability to fly.

"Get the hell out of here!" SolarHunter shouted at it as the Thunderbird flew off, and as soon as the Thunderbird flew out of range SolarHunter sprinted out of the area knowing full well that once they recover from the blast they would no doubt try and kill him as well.

So much for starting fresh in Throndrheim, SolarHunter thought. It was bad enough that he was already on a bad spot in Tritoth, well there are at least six more regions left for him to flee before he can–
