"What is this?" Charlie heard the moment she bit into a fresh macaron from the table. It had been hours since Phantasos gave her the new room. They had not talked much, but every time Charlie looked the slightest bit sad, Phantasos had granted her with another display of interest. Like instead of the field of flowers, she was now staring at the stars.

"Phantasos, I am talking to you." The stars were gone now and Phobetor reappeared. Charlie almost choked on her dessert when she caught a glimpse of his angry face.
"Typical! I know you can hear me!" The angry Uvalion then looked at his prisoner and shook his head. But the glare on his face still stayed.

"You!" He stepped forward, crossing the glass wall easily. He now stood right in front of Charlie, whose hands started shaking.
"Morpheus is missing. And you will tell me where he is or I will keep you here." He demanded.

"I don't know where he is. He never shared how we would go to the senate." Charlie's heart started beating faster. Oh no, what if Hypnos got him?
"There is no way to the senate. I have told you that already!" Phobetor yelled, his voice unnaturally loud.
"I know that now, but Morpheus was determined to find them. He still thinks we can go to the senate. What if Hypnos got him? Please, let me go." She said.

"Stop it with your begging. I must think. If he hasn't told you how Hypnos told him to find the senate, you are indeed useless to me. But I will not let you go yet." Phobetor shook his head and took a step back.
"There had to be something. You cannot have just trusted him without knowing the plan." He paced in front of her.
"I knew it roughly. That was enough for me." Charlie realized she had been foolish.

"Humans. Stupid, stupid humans!" He balled up his white fists and glared back down at Charlie.
"Hypnos would not be able to step foot in Helda. We would know immediately." He continued.
"He has people here. Some played tricks on us like make us all crazy about each other. And some have sought me out to make me talk to him on the phone." Phobetor now realized, Hypnos was mightier than either of them thought. Charlie's words only justified his worry.

"Then we have to risk it." His look now was confusing to Charlie. One second he looked as if he could snap her head off. And the next, he looked somewhat apologetic.
"Risk what?" She asked.

"You need to go to sleep."

"No, she will not." Another voice reached Charlie. Behind Phobetor, his mother appeared.
"And I do not give you permission to leave this house." Nyx gracefully made her way over to the glass.
"Phantasos!" Within a second, Charlie's new room was gone and she was back in the cold, dark cave from before.

"Mother, if he is in danger-"
"We do not care about Morpheus. Have you forgotten our goal?" Nyx glared up at her son.
"I have not, but-"

"But what? Have you been stuck on this earth for too long as well? Must I remind you of who you are?" She asked him, her hands resting on her hips now.
"No, but letting him die and keeping her here is the biggest crime we could commit." Phobetor's words made Charlie frown.
"It is not, so long we say we didn't know." Nyx shot Charlie a glare.

"Didn't know what?" She had to ask. What were they talking about?
"Mother, we must. I cannot allow this to happen. I hate him as much as you, but the senate will execute us for it and then he would win once again. Has he not taken enough from you, would you like me to-"

"Do not even dare speak about it. I will not let anything happen to you. They cannot take you away from me." Nyx shook her head, but her voice sounded less convinced than a minute ago.
"There are things mother, you cannot control. And this is one of them." Phobetor leaned closer to her and watched as his mother gulped.

"I will make this right for us, please let us go." He tried, but Nyx had caught Charlie looking at them and was now intimidatingly glaring at the human behind her son.
"Mother, please. I won't let anything happen to me. And I could really need Phantasos' help."
"Please." Phantasos' excited voice echoed through the cave.
