"We need to get this case moving along." I tell my lawyer as I sit back in my seat. "It has been weeks since our last court date and I need to know where I stand in terms of gaining custody of my son."

My lawyer clears his throat, "Mr Lake we do have a good case running here but there is the issu-"

"What's the issue?" I snap.

"Miss Jolie is playing the part of a defenseless mother and you getting into public fights isn't helping." He tells me. "Lia has seemingly cleaned up her bad girl image over the last few months however you are proving yourself to be rather aggressive with your latest fight with the paparazzi. If the courts deem you unfit due to your actions in public then you've lost."

I sigh deeply.

"I gave Beau a bear." I rub my lips together. "There's a tiny camera in the bear and I told him to carry it around with him everywhere."

"Mr Lake." My lawyer gives me a look. "That is illegal."

"I gave my son a toy." I give him a sly look. "No funny business. What if I were able to obtain recordings of Lia acting out of character? Would that sway the courts decision?"

"That would depend." He grimaces as he looks down at his notes.

"On what?"

"On whether they want to use that evidence." He explains. "It's one thing to obtain evidence through witnesses or the victims themselves but it's completely different if the individual was made unaware of a hidden camera. It's a win-lose situation."

"Fuck."

Everything in me wants to knock my lawyer out, he's supposed to be the best in the business yet nothing positive has come from me hiring him. I miss my son and I hate that we don't get to see him anymore, it's tearing us to pieces.
