I look around my new home with a smile on my face. Three days ago, we packed up our shit and moved into a new home because of Lia's crazy antics. She kept showing up to the house, starting shit and it was becoming a bad environment for my daughter so I bought a new house.

As I walk around the living room, I spot my daughter carrying in a box filled with her jewelry.

"Lils." I call out to her and she stops in her tracks. "Quick question."

I watch as she puts the box down before making her way over to me.

"What's up?"

"Are you happy being here?" I ask, gesturing around the place. "With me?"

"Of course I am, dad." Lily gives me a sweet smile that melts my heart.

"Be honest." I caress her face. "I know that the last few years haven't been the easiest but if you want to live with your nan, just let me know."

Lily places her hand over mine, "I know things aren't perfect and that's ok. I appreciate everything that you do for us dad."

I sigh in relief as I pull her face to mine.

I gingerly press my lips to her forehead where it stays for a moment as I try to savor the moment. As my daughter grows older, she will one day realise what a screw up her father actually is.

"I need to take my box up." I open my eyes and nod my head as I take a step back. "Sorry."

"It's all good, just let me know when you're hungry." I tell her as she walks over to her box. I fall back on the sofa as I hear her running up the stairs and I can't help but think of my little boy who should be here.

I really want nothing to do with Lia but I'm praying that the court will grant me custody of my boy.

I lift the straw to my lips before I take a tiny sip of my matcha drink.

"Meh." I say to myself as I look down at the green drink in my hand. I hear several footsteps approaching my direction and I don't need to look back to see who it is.

I turn to my daughter who is finishing her vanilla frappe.

"Come on Lils." I call out for her to keep up as the paparazzi follow behind us.

"I've got her." Shanina tells me as she wraps her arm around my daughter, shielding her face from the paparazzi.

I start walking behind them as the paparazzi start snapping away at us.
