Every blood vessel in her body was intoxicated, her nerves rushing and flames dancing on her skin. His hands imprisoned her to his body, shooting tantalising waves in every known part of her. Her lipstick was imprinted in several spots on his face, and with each touch, each stroke of his body against hers, Taylor knew she could never, ever, have enough of him. He tasted like a drug, and felt like a sin, but sent her to heaven. She realised with a jolt of fear that she wanted him, and it wasn't just a physical attraction. She wanted him in her life, today, tomorrow and next month and next year, for as long as possible. For ..evermore? The thought was scary beyond her comprehension and quite selfish, really. With her existence becoming a public scandal over the past few months, it wasn't fair to drag Joe into it. She should have waited for a while, at least till the constant stream of hate subsided. She was committing the same mistake. It was too soon to do this, wasn't it?
The question kept flashing as she was consumed under the weight of his lips, his hands, his body and soul. But somehow, with his essence all around her, it faded away, replacing it with another thought. It was worth it. Destroying herself, falling and crumbling away from the public eye, everything she ever wanted to make out of her life, destroying her reputation, was worth it if she ends up with him.
She had two options. To choose the world and the validation of people unknown to her, or take a leap of faith and find true love. And she despised the world at the moment.
"So?" Joe smiled against her neck, nibbling at the delicate skin, "Friends?"
