The next morning was hell
Every bone in my body ached liked it was about to snap in half and my head pounded like somebody was hitting it repeatedly with an hour.
Silently cursing for not picking up my prescription the day before, I lifted my body painfully out of bed and got dressed, not bothering to straighten my hair.
The walk to the hospital was peaceful and thier weren't many people on the streets, giving me chance to think about what had happened yesterday.
Although I had seen the girl in the room, it still seemed almost too coincidental that her first initial and second name were the same as Phil's and that she was in the same village as the hospital me and Phil stayed at. Phil wasn't at the hospital anymore but I couldn't seem to let it go.
The smell of chemicals overpowered me as I strode into the hospital, causing me to splutter slightly. I fumbled in my pockets for my prescription and handed it to the nurse who gave me a toothy grin before taking a small bottle of pills from the shelf and scribbling my name on the label. She also wrote something else which I made out to be her name and number.
'Call me' The nurse (who's name was Erin) whispered, batting her spider like eyelashes at me.
'Er..yeah sure' I replied hastily before turning away and begining to head towards the exit. I stopped suddenly as I remembered the room with Phil's name on the outside
No Dan! It isn't Phil, you saw the girl remember?
My brain screamed at me and I knew it was right but curiosity got the better of me and a strange force began to pull me in the direction of the rehab wards. My eyes flicked side to side, checking for any doctors who might ask me where I was off to before rushing up the corridor, keeping a sharp eye out for the board with 'P.Lester' written on it.
My breath hitched in my chest as I caught sight of it. I let my gaze linger over the letters, making sure it definitely was Lester but eventually decided it was and pressed myself up against the wall, next to the huge window.
The beat of my heart, irregularly fast, was the only sound i could hear. Slowly, I craned my neck and let my eyes get closer to the edge of the window. I was almost at the glass of the window, tensely close to being able to see what was inside, when something rustled and i shot back to safety, panting. The noise stopped and I built up the courage to take another look.
This time I made it to the glass. The bed inside was empty but the sheets were tangled in a small heap at the end of it, suggesting somebody has slept in there. I allowed myself to lean in further, holding my breath. My mouth hung open as I saw a glimpse of inky black hair. That was all I needed.
'Phil!' I called out, running out into the doorway.
The pale figure, which was stood looking out of a small window, span around, his blue eyes locking with my brown ones.
'D-Dan?'
ayyyyy
