Its been a while sorry about that, being ill isn't fun but I feel bad for leaving you so heres a new chapter -
Trust can have many interpretations but to me the only logical one seems to be that of a wall. A wall that we construct ourselves from bricks of hopes and dreams, promises and support. We cement them together with the hope that nobody will break this wall of trust but of course then somebody comes along with a bulldoser and trashes it all meaning you have to start all over again. It's harder the second time, you get tired of building walls so you just let it slip and there is no barrier of trust, you just dont let anybody in at all, simple as that. Not trusting anybody is a hard job but its a safe one a that, it keeps you out of danger but it also stops you from making friends and doing things. Even without that barrier, you might be lucky enough to find somebody who as a few bricks spare, an extra packet of cement, that can help you build up this wall of trust. However, everybody has the power to knock down something they have built and the person who helped you build that barrier has just as much power to knock it down as you do, and trust me, they will. They'll come in and knock it down when you least expect it and you'll be left without any protection, no wall, no barrier, no trust. I think it's easier that way, at least then you cant get hurt.
I guess you could say I knocked down Phil's wall of trust but then Izzy and PJ had come and fixed it which I was grateful for, I'd have to thank them sometime. I just hope that they dont break it because that'd be one time too many. I broke his trust when i hit him, every hit crumbled that wall of trust before it was no longer there, just a mess of dust and rubble.
But right here in this moment, my trust was also broken.
'W-what do you mean you don't trust me? I've changed Phil, I promise. I had special therapy to control my anger and im not even on the pills anymore! I can help you Phil, just let me..Please?'
Phil's ivory face scrunched up slightly, something he does when he's thinking. I utched closer and he didnt flinch this time which i took as a good sign
'Okay' he whispered, so quietly that i wasn't quite sure I'd heard him right
'Okay?' I replied in question.
Phil nodded and his jet black hair fell lazily in front of his face
'I'll let you help me'
And just like that my wall was rebuilt. Just the right number of bricks and a cement stronger than any other person had ever supplied me with, this wall was indestructable.
'First I need you to meet some people, they can help me explain'
I nodded slowly and smiled at the boy in front of me who returned it with one of his signtaure smirks before skipping ahead in the hideous hospital gown which he somehow mananged to look incredibly sexy in. Before he reached the door, Phil stopped for a second and them reached out his hand slowly in my direction. Was I supposed to take it? His face started to turn red and his hand shook in its position. Whatever he meant, I wasnt going to pass up a chance of hollding Phil Lester's hand.
I wiped my hand on my jeans and then put it into Phil's, interlocking our fingers. Phil looked down at it before back up at me, a tiny smile playing on his lips.
'Just like old times' I whispered, as if speaking too loudly might ruin the moment
His eyes looked sad for a moment but the smile still didnt budge.
'Not quite' He sighed, squeezing my hand gently before pulling me through the door and into a huge corridor. We walked down the endless halls slowly because Phil said he couldn't walk fast. I didn't know why but I shook it off. I had my wall of trust and I trusted him.
We finally reached yet another pair of double doors which were closed completely. After one final squueze, Phil lets go of my hand and I immedietly missed the warmth of his palm on mine
'Ready?'
'Yeah'
Phil's pale hand knocks sharply on the dar wood doors and a female voice calls out
'Who is it?'
'Its Phil'
'Philll !! Come in!'
The boy opens the door and grabs my forearm, pulling me into the room which was very similar to his. All white with some shelves, a small tv and a side table. The only thing that was different was that there were two single instead of one. Sat on the bed closest to the side table were two girls. One was quite tall looking with darkish hair which then faded into an electric blue colour at the ends. The other was tanned with brown curly hair and glasses. She stared silently into the distance wheras the blue haired girl smiled fondly at Phil and every so often her eyes flicked over to me.
'So' she began 'Who's this then?'
Phil was about to introduce me but i stood up myself and walked over to her.
'My name's Dan, i'm Phil's uh..Friend'
'Hello Dan, My name's Jordan and I am also Phil's friend'
I stuck out my hand and she shook it politely bedore pulling me in for a big hug
'We don't do formal here Dan, you'll learn that pretty quick'
She laughed and then pulled away before skipping back over to her bed, leaving me stood in a daze. I followed soon after and placed myself on the bed opposite Jordan and the other girl.
'Who's this?' I asked, jutting my head towards the dark haired girl.
'Uh, thats Gaby. She doesnt like strangers'
'Oh. Um, hi Gaby'
She didn't answer but looked at me for a second instead. She then went on to look out of the window as she had been before.
'J-jasmine' Gaby whispered, making Jordan shush her loudly
'Ignore her' Jordan said firmly and I shurgged. I had no idea what the fuck was going on
'Actually' Phil started 'I want to tell him everything'
'Everything?' Jordan questioned
Phil nodded and took my hand once again
'Well Okay then, if you're sure...'
