Back home in London I walk into my apartment throwing myself on the sofa. Lauren isn't home yet so for now I'm alone. Thinking of how I've spent my weekend in LA blows my mind. I've always spent my layovers going with the flow so to speak but I've never actually gone ahead and met a passenger away from the airport. Not just any passenger either!

I've already text Jamie a few times this morning and I literally can't wait until we both get to be in the same country again. I haven't told anyone else about going out with Jamie, I don't even know what I would tell anyone but I actually dread to think what my mum and dad might say. One thing for certain is that if things go well I won't be telling them for a long time.

"Hiya!" I say hearing Lauren walk through the front door "I thought you were supposed to get back hours ago" I say looking at the time.

"Don't even ask! We had the craziest delay, if we didn't take off when we did we would have had to wait an extra three hours for a take off slot!" Lauren explains sitting on the sofa next to me.

"Ergh rather you than me!" There's nothing worse than being delayed by hours when you just want to get home "other than that how was Dubai?"

"Incredible as always! I can't wait to take you for a girls weekend using my staff travel!" I've never been to Dubai and it's on my list of places I want to travel, I can't think of anyone better to go with than Lauren "How was LA"

"It was the best! I actually went on a date!" Living with Lauren I know I need to tell her about Jamie even if she hasn't seen the paparazzi photos, it's only fair.

"No way! Who with? I didn't even realise you knew anyone in LA!"

"Okay don't judge me but I met someone on the flight out and I gave him my number when he asked" I say taking a deep breath "like I mean it Lauren, don't judge me and I know you aren't a football fan but do you know who Jamie Redknapp is?"

"I wouldn't judge you ever Ellie! I mean I've heard of the name but can't say I know who he is. Should I know who he is?"

"You'd know who he is if you followed football but basically he was a footballer now he's a pundit and he does other TV programmes. That's him" I say quickly googling Jamie and showing Lauren a photo.

"I mean he's good looking but he looks a lot older than you" Lauren says and I can hear how concerned she is. This is what worries me the most about telling people.

"He is but it's not an issue. At least I don't think it is, it's not like I'm a child" I don't want to sound defensive but I know it's how I'm coming across "He was so lovely Lauren, I know we've only been out once and before that flight I'd never met him before but it felt like I'd known him forever"

"Don't get me wrong I want you to be happy but I'd hate to see you get hurt"

"Lauren, we've been out once it's not like he's proposed to me. I promise I'll do everything to make sure I don't get hurt" I say. The last thing I want is to be heartbroken but there's absolutely no harm in me getting to know Jamie "I'm going to grab a few hours sleep before it gets too late into the afternoon, I'm shattered off the flight home" I say making my way to my bedroom. Is this the kind of reaction I'm going to get off everyone when they find out I've been out with Jamie?

Three days later I'm sat in the airport on standby. There's a few flights due to depart in the next six hours and I could be needed last minute for any of them. The thing is being on standby you never know if you're going somewhere exotic or back home at the end of the day.

"Oh my god I'm so happy you're here!" I say seeing Kirsty walk into the crew room "I thought I was going to have a boring day sitting on my own!"

"Nope you're stuck with me all day. How's lover boy?"
