Showdown, Chapter Three: A Common Goal

Retro's POV

I think Sun's got this one when it comes to the winner of this battle, it's a two on two, and Sun's taken out my Rayquaza with one pokemon.

so give my brother all you've got Sun.

Sun's POV

I'm thinking, I've overused Decidueye, so, Sylveon, and, I'll take Hariyama out of the pc. decent strategy, I think

I walk out into the field, Hauringu is waiting, and without a second thought, he sends in his first pokemon, a Malamar, perfect.

I send in Hariyama, it outspeeds me, with a not very effective Night Slash, I countered with Close Combat, which it didn't take very well, in fact. it transformed, into Zoroark.

Retro's POV

this is Hauringu's signature pokemon, and it's his way of showing his good hand, over Sun's mediocre one, this is an excellent play by my brother.

Sun's POV

Hariyama used close combat again, fainting Zoroark, then, he sent in Malamar, who, again, went for night slash, Hariyama dodged, and I took a risk and used Dynamic Punch, it hit, fainting Malamar, this battle was over as soon as it started.

Hauringu's POV

it took him one pokemon. one.

I underestimated Sun's ability, especially when he took lessons under Retro, not even the blood of an Otoko, is enough to beat Sun.

my brother came up to me after the match

"hey," he said calmly "you lost, I know, but you put up a fight,"

"brother, you always said it was our blood that made us good trainers, is that true?" I asked

"no, it's not, I only said that to inspire you to train more, the only way that somebody gets good at training is through practice" I felt a pat of my back "listen, Uncle Kazake, is pissed that you lost, he's hoping for Raibaru, now, he said that he'd cut off the league's affiliation with me, if I didn't lose a rigged match with you"

"that quite horrible brother, but, I will be routing for you, and Sun as well" I said walking away "good luck,"

Sun's POV

looks like my next match, is 3 on 3, against, Raibaru, shit, I knew this would happen, alright, this isn't gonna be easy, Hydriegon, and Arceus knows what else.

Decidueye, Solgaleo, and y'know, I think Hariyama's been a one hit wonder. I got this.
