Alright, Sun, breathe, this is the finals, you got this, Solgaleo first

"I honestly didn't think I'd see you make it this far, Kagayaku, well then, just another wall in my path, I dealt with your pal Hau pretty easily in the quarter-finals, hah, his skill is pathetic, I thought he was Alola's second strongest trainer, yet he's miles from getting on the level of a true champion, but now, I just wanna see if you have what your pal didn't"

hearing that about Hau just made my blood boil, I sent in Solgaleo, and he sent in a Blaziken, I had Solgaleo use Sunsteel Strike, while Blaziken opted for Blaze Kick, while Blaze Kick did a lot of damage to Solgaleo, it got up, while the Sunsteel Strike, it didn't leave Blaziken with a single mark on it's body

"that was a pathetic move, fire types resist steel moves, it wasn't very effective, alola shouldn't have a champion who makes rookie mistakes" Raibaru scoffed "unless, you're not giving your full effort"

Solgaleo used bulldoze

he smirked "better, Kagayaku, better"

this blow fainted Blaziken

he sent in Electivire, and had it use Thunder Punch, which fainted Solgaleo

"But I'm better, a good trainer knows his opponent inside and out"

goddamn remarks, I wanna wipe that smug look off his face

I send in Decidueye, to finish this, one spirit shackle and Electivire was down

"well then, you've proven that you're pretty good, but, my last pokemon, has sweeped an Elite Four"

he called in Hydreigon, and called for a flamethrower, which did some damage to Decidueye, but it got up, I called for a new move, Low Sweep, it'd be super effective against Hydreigon, it hit, but it didn't do much, one flamethrower from Hydriegon, and Decidueye went down

"your strategy's shit man, it's a joke, go back and cry to mommy, you don't deserve a place among champions! go back where you came from!" Raibaru screamed

I heard a voice come onto the field, "Time! Time!"

it was Retro, he beckoned me back into the waiting room

"listen, Raibaru's strategy, with him, it isn't about power, it's about fear, he likes to strike fear into his opponents to the point of forfeit, don't let him get to you, you're doing a good job, better than I did" Retro said, a serious look upon Retro's face, and a hint of deja vu in his eyes

Retro's POV

here I am, in Alder's place, coaching my student in the middle of a battle, coincidentally for ways to win against the same person, Sun, you will succeed

Sun's POV

I walked back onto the field, I sent in Hariyama, used all out pummeling, and Hydriegon was down. I had won.

I walked back into the lobby, and was congratulated by everybody I walked past

"you did a good job, Sun, very good job Lad!" Wick remarked giving me a pat on the back

"Sun, you aced that battle, when it comes to the battle with my brother, I'll be happy to help you train" Hauringu offered "it'll be a few days before the bout,"

"one of those days, sure, I just wanna relax though" I reply "do you where your brother is?"

"unfortunately, I don't, he's probably training in a private location though, I wouldn't go looking"

so he's training, good
