Meteors | Rico x Reader

Prompt- Reader (Hange's twin) takes Rico on a date

Deep breaths. You've made it this far. Deep breathes. You internally cooed to yourself.

You stood at your girlfriend Rico's door, calming yourself before knocking.

You bit your lip, holding your hand in the shape of a fist with your index finger slightly out and using it to lightly knock on the door.

Rico heard the taps from inside, calling out a quick 'one second!' while she finished what she was doing and went to the get door.

She was practically glowing, her outfit matching her body and personality to a tee.

"So... where are we going?" She asked.

You had asked her to dress casual, you doing the same. You kept the location a surprise and instead, after she turned off the lights and shut the door to her room, you led her out the building and towards where your date would take place.

Rico was scared yet intrigued as you led her off the road and towards the forest, it was nearing sunset and she was slightly worried that the two of you would end up spending the night in there.

"Y/n... i'm not doubting you or anything but do you know where we're going? Are we gonna get lost?"

"Just trust me." You reassured her.

The two of you continued to walk, passing through the small patch of woods before coming to an opening.

The field was lively, grass and flowers being fresh and vibrant with an old oak tree near the middle. Fireflies danced around creating a magical sight.

"Wow." Rico breathed, captivated by the beauty.

"And that's not even the best part." You smiled, taking her hand and leading her to the oak tree and upon closer inspection Rico gasped.

The tree has lights strung among the branches and below a soft blanket set on the ground with an array of more blankets, pillows, and a basket set on it.

"You didn't... Y/n this is amazing!"

"Of course it is, it's all for you."

Rico blushed as you sat on the blanket, her following and doing the same.

From there the two of you talked, eventually opening the basket and eating the contents inside.

When the two of you were done you both sighed, laying back with your stomachs full and smiles on your faces.

"Thank you Y/n. This date has been perfect." She complimented.

"And it's not over yet." You smirked.

"What?"

"Look up." You nodded in the direction.

Above the two of you, far into the sky, you could see meteors flying through the sky.

"I didn't know there was suppose to be a shower today." She questioned.

"Yup."

"This is amazing Y/n."

"I thought you'd like it."

The two of you continued to marvel at the sight. The stars and bright moon behind made it look even more beautiful.

Neither of you talk for around an hour, watching the sight side by side as the large rocks flew across the sky.

When it ended, the two of you stayed where you were, not wanting the moment to end.

"I wish I could stay here forever." Rico whispered, sounded dejected and sad.

"Me too." You copied her tone.

"We should do this more often." She said, glancing around at the scenery and once again appreciating is beauty. "Although this must've taken while to set up." She added.

"It was still worth it." You responded. "Your worth it."

Rico's face erupted in red once more, her blush being uncontrollable.

"Your such a flirt Y/n."

"Only for you."

"Y/n!" she whined as the pigment because even darker and more pronounced shade and you smiled, glad that she was happy.

a/n- i want to inform everyone that chapters might not be as on-schedule as they usually are from now on. i've been going though a lot lately and although writing is therapeutic for me, reading so more-so. that's why recently instead of writing i've been reading. i do want to clarify that requests and posts will still be done but not as quickly. I am very sorry for the inconvenience and to any of you who are disappointed by this news.

also- this didn't really include the Hange twin part but i feel like being related to Hange means you know all about events that happen in nature- ie. the meteor shower -and have a flirtatious character
